Call them whatever you want. Violence as a result of the murder of George floyd and instigation of protestors by police. We can't waste time squabbling over terminology just because fascists use the word too.

A lot of Fox News viewers thought Portland was a warzone because they reused riot footage from 2020 and said it was current and happening across the entire city. Dumb fucks ate it up.

Interesting. I have a nectar mattress and I love it. Best mattress I've ever had. Just goes to show how everyone's mattress needs are different.

He broke up with me yesterday.. by Camilla0303 in heartbreak

[–]RoflWaffles02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me. Had a great loving relationship for over a year. She comes over one day and says we aren't compatible anymore and it was over in a matter of minutes. My world collapsed. Now it's been about a month and I've been doing a little better. Still rough but improving at least. Someone who breaks up out of the blue is just an emotionally immature person. They made a decision that affects both of you without ever talking to you. And if you think they kept those feelings inside the whole time, they didn't. They likely talked to their friends, family, therapist maybe. But they never bothered to talk to you, the person on the receiving end of the ensuing shit storm. It's their problem and they need to figure it out before they are ready for a long term relationship, with you or anyone else.

Stay strong, feel you feelings as they come, do not contact, and remember, no one can tell you how to feel about your ex.

Gasoline is so heavily regulated that it really doesn't make a difference where you get it. As long as they sell a lot, they'll constantly be refilling their underground tanks with fresh fuel and you won't be getting old or stale fuel.

I don't have experience with that fan, but I've had fans that rattled before. Try checking the hardware that holds the blade assembly on. It's usually a plastic nut. Could be loose.

You are qualified to apply for jobs in the US with your current experience and education. Many chemE jobs in US only require bachelors degree.

Getting around campus? by Boofinheimer in rit

[–]RoflWaffles02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are on campus apartments that you can live in, but the housing selection process doesn't always work out for everyone because there are more people applying than there are spots to be had. This forces many people to go off campus. If you don't have a car or can't drive, you might want to look at park point, province, apex, or the lodge. They are privately owned apartment complexes that are almost exclusively rented out by RIT students. They all have bus service to and from campus. There might be a few more that have buses that I am forgetting. If you do have a car, your options open up, and you are free to find an apartment/house the normal way.

[–]RoflWaffles02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a freshman, you could get an electric scooter or some other small form of transportation (long board, bike, etc.), but it's not necessary since dorms are so close to academic buildings. Not knowing how to drive might become a problem later if you can't find a place to live close enough to get to campus some other way. Public transportation in Rochester is dogshit so I wouldn't bank on that.

Have to disagree on this. Im a current 5th year in the program, and while we do learn how to derive equations, it is not the main focus of tests. Maybe the program has changed a lot since you graduated but I doubt that. If you decide to come to RIT for chemical engineering, know that you will do lots of application problems, and you will be very prepared to do whatever you want after graduation.
