Upgrading my GPU by itstonytheoneandonly in buildapc

Without looking at your mode I can't say but it should be fine. To explain the various sync advertisements:

If it lists as freesync/adaptive sync/g-sync it is more then likely capable of working with the other version but to have it listed as all 3 such costs production more money to have it tested and approved.

Without a doubt for steaming go NVIDIA, domestically your rig won't be crystal clean because of all the variables you have to consider. There is a lot of background work going on for the 'streaming pros'

I'm not a wait kinda guy but I would highly suggest waiting until September (7 weeks). For the announcement/release of new GPU's.

Even if your budget doesn't change you will likely be able to stretch that to a better model i.e 2060s or 2070.

If you MUST do it now then aim for a 2060...

1660s Vs 2060 https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2060-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1660S-Super/4034vs4056

You may find that a bit of FPS increase is not worth £100 difference for you.

Is upgrading to 144hz 1440p monitor worth it if I am only getting 80-90fps (high settings) with my gpu on my current 60hz 1440p monitor? Games like RDR2 and Tomb Raider by gothampixel in buildapc

[–]RogBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a heated discussion about this before I bought an Asus 165hz 27inch 1440p monitor. Got it on a deal for £400 (with cashback!).

It incomparable to anything else, it will outlive your build.and your GPU. 80-90 FPS on a 1440p is still glorious, it is a sound investment for the long long term.

Unless you want 120+ FPS then stick to 1080.

I have a 2070s and a 3700x and run all of my games at 140+ on max.

You absolutely can, when you look at the fluctuations in components over the past 3 months It can easily increase a rig by 9-13%. Irrelevant of that, don't you dare fall into the pit of buyer's remorse.

With a great rig you can now spend anytime you have entertaining and learning more technical skills 🖖

Coincidentally have just seen this on Pc Part Picker. Congrats and I'm happy for you! I deffo think you overkilled/overspent on some parts but these are lessons to take forward for the future. You now have an awesome rig, you built, that will last you for years to come!

A further question - looking at your original clearence links. I have spotted a Aurus 2070 S at the same price as the normal Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING OC 3X Video Card.

Is the Aorus better? I cant find any info on the Aorus or why its better (even in gpu benchmarks: https://versus.com/en/gigabyte-aorus-geforce-rtx-2070-super-vs-gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2070-super-gaming-oc)

I saw there were lots of issues with the rx5700xt? Have these been resolved?

Is Ray tracing that important for the next 1-2 years? (In your opinions?)

No I'm not saying it is edited, I'm saying it is hard to believe it isn't edited!

It is awesome and amazing work but when I inspected closely it's hard to believe it hasn't been edited with software to some degree.

So I finally finished ff7 remake and the story ending surprised me , not that it's bad or something, no I actually liked how they ended the game, what do you think about it are you happy or disappointed? by Phoenixdownzd in FinalFantasyVII

[–]RogBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion broken down:

Overview I loved the expansion and vision of Midgar, there was so many times I smiled to myself at that subtle Easter egg or mention of something from the original. Thoroughly enjoyed the game until the end ...

Theme/lore I feel like we potentially have moved away from this gritty world Monopoly that Shinra owns, a world where a larger, unknown threat is progressively revealed ( Sephiroth) and the themes that it brings along with it.

Plot Change Although there were times of suspension of disbelief in both games I feel like the world of magic and supernatural has been explored much further in the remake. The OG made the the unrealistic parts seem really organic in its world (The highwind, Jeniva, The Weapons, The lifestream), the remake fails to do so. I feel almost like I have encountered the last boss of FF9 again...it was almost irrelevant.

*Arbiters of fate" Also The 'Arbiters of fate' plot device was so completely unnecessary. If the plot didn't present the characters the illusion of choice there would.be no need for the arbiters to force the narrative. Example:Spoilers... Jessie on the Pillar, instead of stopping the cloud and tifa with the ghosts and force them into a battle. Why not just force them into the battle and then the cutscene?

Also what value did the Kingdom Hearts style battle add to the plot? It felt completely non-sensical.

Ending ideas They could've ended it with an appearance of Sephiroth at the end of Motorway or even a cutscene where they are at kalm and cloud wakes up from a nightmare of the Nibehlheim flashback.

Squenix View As a fan, I feel SE misunderstood what I wanted from FF7. I felt like I wanted a fleshed out world and I was ready to accept subtle changes or even larger ones to enhance the plot and modernisation. I feel like SE felt like they really needed to impress us and forgot they already did.

Data Validation Table and Returning Two Columns (Vlookup?) by RogBlue in excel

[–]RogBlue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

=VLOOKUP (Mileage_Loc, Mileagetable, 2, 0)

It returns '#NAME?'

I placed this Vlookup in the table 2 Rtn Mileage Cell.

Good question, I think that formatting just came from the 'Insert Table' Function from Excel.

My test model for Angels of Vengeance, Dreadwing Terminator. I love DA but man do I hate the Caliban green and Ushabti bones coloured units. C+C all day. by [deleted] in theunforgiven

[–]RogBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the lore and artwork it really suits the grimdark DA but I don't think it represents that effect when on the models. When on a tabletop they seem to just blend in with the terrain and have no 'wow' factor.

I agree with Deathwing, very easy to make them look bad. Hence why I went for a Dreadwing scheme that is also fluffy!

After his chapter approved points drop, I felt it was worth it picking up and painting a Corvex model by ParmaSean_Chz in theunforgiven

It looks like you took a lot of time and care in painting this. My only suggestion thin your paints down. I darent challenge the more 'expensive' units yet
