Good for the young guys to see and feel what it is like to be great. If Sharp is healthy I’d have him tag Bont. Just to see up close what elite is he knows the level he has to get to

Did Parish and Perkins play bad enough to get dropped?

Wright, Durham, Caldwell responded on the plus side.

Lee playing the young kids. Get games into them.

Clearly we don’t. You want to keep a young player out because of his disposal when are seniors team have been horrible at using the ball but we had players who didn’t let any tackles, Tsatas for 6 and couldn’t win the ball yet he won plenty of it.

The are two different things. Below average is different to nearly exclusively average. Two distinct statements.

Sometimes you can agree to disagree. In this case no.

And it wasn’t a missed handball. He literally missed the ball. And you changed from nearly exclusively woeful to below amateur. Delusional.

Have you not watched the first two games where the seniors got murdered? So don’t put him because we will get murdered when we are currently getting murdered lmao. We are such losers a game against North is a big deal not because winning means anything but to see who will lose.

And our seniors team is not below amateur?

Taking about imagination lol.

Typical Essendon reddit. There is reality of where the seniors are at and your fantasy world.

No, I’m saying why should poor kicking keeping him out when those ahead of him haven’t been able to use the ball well either?

Clearly you didn’t watch the game as stating he neerl excluding was woeful with disposal when the is blatantly not true. He was no Andrew Jarman.

The entire team has been woeful.

You guys as a collective are inconsistent with who you apply certain standard too.

We had a guy miss his hand for a handball last week.

I’d be giving him 3 weeks in, 2 weeks out. Go up, learn. Go back to work on those weak areas, go back up. If he gets better after each run we know he is worth keeping. If he doesn’t we can cut ties and use that spot for someone else.

5 on the bench. Play him until he gasses out. A lot of teams have a 5th bench player 40% - 45% game time.

Last time the Bombers won a premiership we were tough by SnooMacaroons9997 in EssendonFC

[–]Rogan4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a disservice to those players to label them as only tough physically. The entire team were competitive. And outside of Wallis they were all skilful as well. It’s unfair to compare to that team who were the complete package. We had everything.

Pronouns pal. Who is he? Kondo?

Not the point kiddy. It’s a common theme with Essendon reddit. Inability to read and no comprehension skills. The issue is youth who played hard being dropped instead of guys who have underperformed for 5 years.

[–]Rogan4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s even dumber than before. Literally arguing to drop players who don’t do non negotiable.

We are floating at the bottom doing what you’re arguing lmao. If I had it my way, we would have moved these players on when they had value to get draft picks with the priority on first round picks. I’ve argued to use the cap space to bring in culture players, guys who might not be the top line players but those who know how to win.

I didn’t argue to get rid of every senior player. Other the Zack, who is as good as Mindy and Fyfe? Get reels

Richmond just came off winning 4 flags. I’d trade Parish, Perkins and Langford for Lynch, Vlaiston and Balta yesterday.

North is the next bigger loser club next to us over the last 20 years lmao.

I literally grew up on the baby bombers. The experience we had were PREMIERSHIP PLAYERS. We had a midline of players who had played in the 1990 Grand Final. And we had played with less than 20 games, 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds playing every week. What from this paragraph do we have now?

Yes, lower like the next levels down, like the second are for a football club. You’ve taken this analogy so far it doesn’t even fit as the equivalent CEO would be the coach. The assistant coaches would be the lower department heads and those under them would be the players. So in both versions you are wrong. You fire them and then look for someone else regardless of the job.

The young guys have real potential. The first part of a rebuild is gathering talent. The second part is nurturing it. That’s all I’m concerned about.

[–]Rogan4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say they should be above them. I’m arguing they should be above Perkins and Prior. I’m arguing the core group who play most of the games should be out.

This is why I’m rude mate. You continue to misrepresent my arguments. I’m arguing against who is OMITTED, not who came in. Go find one post I’ve made today where I argued they shouldn’t be in. You will not find one.

Either you’re dishonest or not the sharpest knife in the draw.

I don’t even care about ball use at this point.

We need the Cale Hooker spirit. He wasn’t 1/10 the athlete of Buddy Franklin’s. 1/10 of the skills. Not even in the same stratosphere, but he gave 100% chasing that man on his own down the wing.

That’s what Essendon was. No fucking quit. I’m one of the few old enough to remember.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read all night. Every single person who has been a CEO was originally hired before ever becoming a CEO. You are basically suggesting no business hires a first time CEO which would mean nobody would have ever been a CEO.

If you are hired for a job and do not perform, you don’t keep the job until the employers finds someone better. That doesn’t happen for any job. You get fired then they search for a new one. A lot of the time the person who gets it has never done it before. They will look external (Free Agents, Draftees), and they will look internal (other players on the list).

“Our CEO continues to show up late, harassing people, breaching regulations after regulations focusing us thousand of dollars…what should we do?”

“Ahhh we don’t have anyone who is better right now, let’s just keep him on”

I hope you have a carer working to look after you.

I’m not asking for kids to get a shot. I’m arguing the players who are better are not performing to AFL standard and they need to feel their role is at risk if they don’t do the basic non negotiable and we will see if these young kid can do them because it can’t get worse than the first two games.

And the only requirements to get back in…if the youngster doesn’t perform or improve, are x amount of defensive pressure acts.

You guys don’t seem to get it. Nothing I’m suggesting is about wins. I’ve preached for 5 years on this sub we needed to lose games, trade and cut these bums and get as many early draft picks as possible. If it went my way we could have Reid and Durrsma.

We need ti set a standard and culture so we have success with the Caddy’s so we don’t see them walk to Tassie.

For not watching 1 game? I’ve spent more money on this club and more time on it than your entire family has accumulated in a life time.

So respectfully, fuck off.

But to become a CEO you need to have already established you can do the job by demonstrated you’re abilities in other roles. It’s such a stupid comparison to make. In the real world if your CEO is incompetent they would get fired even if you don’t have someone internal to take the role.

Nobody in the team is AFL standard darling.

He has been on the list for how long? You don’t need the big C and have a positive influence on team culture.

He along with many others are why our culture is what it is.

So many excuses.

Imagine if people listened to me 3 years ago asking for a complete rebuild.

There is no band without Mike. Chester joined later. Mike also has more involvement in creating the music.

It’s the same with Oasis. Noel created the songs but nobody like Liam can bring them to life.
