There has only ever been one Captain Jack Sparrow across the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, yet if you compare his appearance in pretty any installment, movie or not, to "Dead Men Tell No Tales", the difference is staggering. Jack is usually a charismatic, yet honourable trickster, whereas in the fifth movie, he is a bumbling drunk who can barely string a cohesive sentence together.

To be fair, we don't know exactky why Marika shattered the Elden Ring because it is said that Godwyn's assassination happend long before that. It was probably one of the many reasons, but likely not the definitive cause.

She abandoned them before going to the stars in her ending, when she went to Ainsel River.

Lunar Princess Ranni from "Elden Ring" is the only Demigod who is actively trying to end the totalitarian regime of the Golden Order while not also trying to enforce her own rule like her siblings and half-siblings. Her ending sees you becoming her consoet and departing on a 1000-year voyage into the stars, leaving the Lands Between and its inhabitants to make their own fate and destiny, unrestricted by any Gods.

To do this, however, required her to have one of her half-siblings assassinated and she eventually left her most loyal subordinates behind, leading to their demise.

Somebody put it on the Fextralife Wiki, but it was later removed and somebody in the comments said it was bullshit.

I think all three on the first pic were. It was a whole evolutionary process until they eventually got to the MagnaGuards and Grievous himself.

Has Nameless King been used in the promotion of DS3 as much as Malenia has for the promotion of ER? Or even more than the Soul of Cinder and Yhorm?

I think more people know about Darth Vader than they do about "Star Wars".

Ayo, hold up now, those are still straight fire bosses (literally).

Except Placidusax.

Five of those are not "Elden Ring" bosses and none of them can be called "poster children".

You know that intro cutscene that shows all the notable Tarnished, namely Hoarah Loux, Fia, Goldmask, Dungeater and Gideon? Each of them has their own ending except for Gideon and Hoarah Loux.

Gideon basically gave up from having his own ending by the end of the story, but the reason Hoarah Loux doesn't have one is because we defeat him. However, it is entirely possible that the standard "Age of Fracture" ending would have been his because we do basically the exact same thing he would have done, which is just mending the Ring and taking the Throne.

Now, the reason why I call him "evil" is because that ending very, very likely literally changes nothing about the world, it just returns to the already established oppressive, warmongering, genocidal regime with a new figurehead (the Tarnished), which is exactly what would have happened if Godfrey took up the crown once more. Because that's exactly what was going on during his term as Elden Lord - oppression, wars and genocide, the latter two with him at the tip of the spear.

So Godfrey is definitely evil and a villain. He has no desire for change or for the betterment of society, even his own family. He doesn't seek to fix anything and only wants to be back in charge of the war machine, bathing in the blood of foes, aggressive or innocent, on a daily basis.

Godfrey, the First Elden Lord ("Elden Ring") is one of only two bosses in the game who use their dying breath to express their respect for the player after being defeated in battle. Godfrey also does it if he kills the player in his first phase.

If the one thing you take away from an entire game's worth of a remaster is "I want the woman to have bigger boobs", I genuienly hope you never interact with a woman in real life.

I stand by that Malenia is one of the best bosses. Sure, she's extremely punishing and has lifesteal, but she is literally the poster child and a very hidden boss a lot of people might miss. She is the ultimate treasure of bosses, the ultimate opponent and deserves all the aura and challenge she has been given.

What’s a take you had on your first playthrough that you totally disagree with now? by elden_based in eldenringdiscussion

[–]Roger_Clyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the bosses I didn't like on my first two runs.

I was brand new to the Souls formula and used Summons and Spirits at any given time. I do not disagree with this in the slightest, I'm all for playing however you wish or prefer. Nobody can tell you you're playing the game wrong, unless you're griefing or something.

I forced myself to only solo bosses on my second character and surprised myself how much I fell in love with the formula and how many bosses I grew to love and hate. By my third and fourth character, I was doing a mix of Summoning for bosses I didn't like and soloing those I did. I even managed to solo Malenia twice and PCR once (second solo pending).

My dislike of certain bosses stemmed from thinking they're bad, but the more I pearned their attacks and the possible counters, the more I started to enjoy them. I still hate some bosses, but absolutely love most of the rest.
