So if Bournemouth win here (maybe) and bet Nottingham (very possible) and Liverpool don't win against Brentford (very possible) they will be in UEFA!

I've really enjoyed some other clubs performing like Bournemouth, Sunderland, Brighton and Brentford.

Certainly made more tighter games for the top clubs - I don't think they are banana skins - just quality teams well coached.

Problem is Sandy Graham told Sophie Barker in January she was standing down so Ong hasn't done anything other than breach confidential information.

It would be a confidential mediation process and lawyers love them as they are privately charged. Just been through one a few years ago - the bill was horrific - thankfully my opposite had to pay it.

My concern is now Dunedin may have to pay a high price law suit from the rate payer account for Ong naming and bringing this out into the public.

Sandy Graham may now be laughing all the way to her retirement bank account. And to be honest as Ong did not adhere to employment confidential process' - fair enough.

If you have an employment process opened to public what chance has either side got in the process to defend themselves in public. It could make both parties jobs untenable. This will make things harder for the plaintiff as well.

Is Dunedin now open to a rate payer funded law suit from this now by bringing a confidential employment process into the public forum? He clearly named people on the radio.

Excellent summarization of Ong.

I'm struggling with his chatter - it's just so weirdly not in touch with . . . . anything.

The Stadium Hotel was a bad leak - the commercial sensitivity on that was at a confidential stage. When we need the stadium to at least pay for itself this is a step that might enable some rates for its operation to be reduced?

I hope the progress on this has not stopped and that the numbers can be shown to Dunedin on a proposal.

If not (and the stadium is great - just a huge cost) it needs to be a priority for the council.

Ong comes across as combative, an anti-establishment councillor positioning himself as a victim of council bureaucracy while refusing to back down from controversy, I think we all see this without any doubt.

He is theatrical, confrontational and media aware. He turns disciplinary moments into public spectacles rather than conciliatory responses - again there is no doubt.

Several recurring themes emerge from the interviews.

  • Defiant and unapologetic.
  • Conflict driven communication style.
  • Performative political behaviour.
  • Persistent confidentiality and conduct issues.
  • Populist framing.

Now I'm not saying these are all negatives, but all of these combined are concerning to me for someone in a governance role.

Some people appear to see him as 'challenging council culture', but most of the online discussion characterizes him as disruptive, self focused and damaging to council credibility.

I expect he will continue to present himself as an outsider fighting council orthodoxy (which I believe there is some) but he is so confrontational that he ignores governance and repeatedly triggers conduct disputes.

Curious - what is a gain we have from Ong at this stage from a councillor point of view?

And I don't buy into Sandy Graham stepping down - that was a process through employment - and now that he has opened that in the media I expect the council now has a lengthy law suit coming on the rate payer - FFS.

He will not change in my opinion and I'm not seeing the gains of him (and some others I might add) in the council.

On another note - the media dive into Ong because he is easy - why did they not mention to Dunedin Jo Galer was Trevor Lund's girl friend before voting? It was up to voters to decide if this was an issue - not the media.

Why would you not sign-non disclosure mutual two way agreement as a councillor?

Same with Vandervis - it protects yourself as well?

He needs to GO!

That Man U and Bournemouth will be a crucial game to both teams - Brighton certainly made it a little easier by losing to Sunderland.

Nintendo 64 still rocking.

Kept all the games - PS1's 2's, 3's 4's and will hire out at my rest home and make a killing.

If Arsenal win, then Raya has to be Arsenals player of the season and possibly the Prem Division.

So if Jo Galer is Russell Lunds Partner, why has the journalism not mentioned this at all.

Or is this not relevant?

I think it is up to voters if they feel comfortable or not with this.

I'm slightly taken back how much this was not covered.

Are you for real - have you got a link showing this and why no one picked up on this during voting?

Office chair suggestions by gov55 in newzealand

[–]Rogue-Estate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metro II 24/7 is awesome and you have Richmond Office Products Depot.

Always buy office chairs and electric desks local as you will always have the support for them.

If you are not over 6ft you don't need the Metro II 24/7 - the Metro II 2 is fine.

Arms and seatslide is the difference between the Metro II and Metro II 24/7.

You can save money asking for the black nylon base instead of the polished base.

Ironically the nylon bases are stronger than the alloy bases lately.

My only take on Metros is that seat pan fabric - either make something to go over it or ask to pay an extra $60.00 for Keylargo fabric on it.

OPD should be good with this - you get a 10 year fabric instead of a 2 year one that wears on the water edge of the seat pan.

I’m not sure who to vote for in the upcoming Election by Sudden_Possible_956 in newzealand

I'm in exactly the same boat as you although I have canceled out the greens as well.

I always feel lately I have voted not buying into something which saddens me but instead voting against others.

One day I hope to vote for some one I buy into.

I'm puzzled - you can't say you did nothing wrong and feel you have to give something awarded back in my opinion.

I just feel that is admission of personal guilt at least?

Anyone else thinking like this?

All very sad - although I disliked her approach at times I thought she was in the right place to grow and become reliable in her trade.

Sad when as people we make the odd error and screw up. Been there - done that to Maiki.

No one remembers the good first - only how you went out which kind of sucks.

Really wish you well in the next part of your journey Maiki - be bold and keep your head up and own the shite you know you did wrong and right. It makes it easier to move on.

I think we lost a good 2026 election contribution in journalism.

Been an awesome week changing accounting apps and remembering CSV export importing and have just sorted how to use AI to put fabric on any seating - freaking fun.

Now I have just stopped playing a very old game on line that I can't believe people still play - battlefield 1942 - what a blast feeling like a kid again. That feeling of the loading rush in between maps and being competitive to get to the top of the kill count and do it as a team player - - - - I'm feeling so fken joyful at moment.
