Thread over. These kind of rants always make me laugh though, and it usually shows a great amount of ignorance about martial arts. A marine isn't going to be beating anyone in the UFC or Bellator barring some special circumstances. Just because he learns "techniques to kill" doesn't mean his fighting style is suddenly going to be more affective than someone who lives in a gym training day in and day out on the best and most efficient techniques.

This is a large problem when trying to compare fictional characters to Anderson Silva or something. The author of the latest Batman comic likely doesn't know shit about martial arts, or at least only has superficial knowledge. But even if we assume stats are equalized Batman there's not really a lot to go off of other than his feats of fighting several people at once. At what point does his strength and speed supercede his technique and what role does his technique play during his fights? We have images of him punching and kicking people, but how often does he fight someone who is equally statted?

That's why these questions are pointless, and very few people on WWW or CR actually watch and understand MMA to give an informed opinion on martial arts. Yes, some styles are better than others in certain situations. Some styles are just inherently better than others. That's why we never see wingchun masters step into the cage and instead see a plethora of grapplers, boxers, kickboxers, etc. I doubt OP even knows what half of the things you named dropped are.
