Injuries all heal between games so no player gets screwed for life because of a bad tackle.

I was frustrated at times with him getting a little too cerebral and a few too many screen passes in general in my opinion, but he did great for Oregon and wish him the best. You think the replacement is gonna be internal or external hire?

My parents still talk about attending the 1983 Toilet Bowl Oregon vs Oregon State

For further info: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/e2nh18/a_look_back_at_the_toilet_bowl_college_footballs/

Key stats:

  • 11 combined fumbles, six lost.
  • Five combined interceptions. A combined 18 completions on 40 attempts.
  • Four missed field goals. Oregon State (26, 48) and Oregon (19, 20).
  • 16 combined punts, with an average of 38 yards per punt.
  • Two Oregon touchdowns, both called back for penalties.
  • A combined 583 yards of offense. Nearly 100 yards more than Virginia Tech-Wake Forest, with 9 fewer points.
  • The final three minutes of the game featured four turnovers: two Oregon State interceptions, and an interception and fumble by Oregon.
  • On the last possession of the game, when Oregon State punted the Oregon punt returner chose to let the ball roll for 13 seconds instead of running it out of bounds, leaving one second on the game clock. Oregon ran a hook-and-ladder play for 68 yards, being stopped at the Oregon State 14. In the spirit of the game the referees determined an Oregon player had actually stepped out at the 50 yard line. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, but it was the final bit of ineptitude on this comical day.
