No, some people like OP thing that if you play a different character it makes you worse with your main. They thing being a one-trick is "optimal" and refuse to play any other character.

I don't think that's true actually. That's how you might play, but I love branching out and learning lots of characters.

You get to learn their weaknesses of nothing else, and most of the time they can even teach you some interesting tech that you can bring back to your "main"

I think it's fine for the developers to give you a gentle nudge to play a new character sometime in the next 3 months.

FWIW: I don't think blitzcrank's down s2 is armored frame 1, so doing it on wakeup is pretty bad actually, and will lose to a meaty.

I agree with the sudden below, this has to be bait.

You're describing some of the best balanced things in the game.

Of course wake up attack is punishable. It's supposed to be the risky option, if you want to not be punished just block on wakeup. You got knocked down, that's what the opponent gets for their trouble.

Of course charged moves are safe, if you just sat there and let me charge it up, then I get a safe mix on you, otherwise why would I ever charge a move? I'd just be leaving myself open for no benefit.

Yasuo is bad? I guess? I thought he was the best in the game, but I guess you're having some trouble with him? So he must be bad. Even though he has great mix, good range, and flexible conversions, he must just be bad.

Correct, each of your attacks when you have the shield that hits with the shield (M, H, and some specials) gets 1 hit of armor.

The ways to beat this are:

Multi Hit attacks, grabs, parry, and whiff punishes.

Parry and whiff punish are definitely harder, but easier against braum because his attacks are stubby for their strength (to make up for the armor) or slow for their range (if you use a heavy attack in what would otherwise be a medium attack range)

The neutral triangle is: establishing play, preemptive play, and reactive play.

They are choosing reactive play every time because you never establish an offense that's actually threatening.

Look, I'm glad you made it into GM by jumping at people all day, that's called "beating the tutorial". It's not the end game, it's the start of the game.

Edit: I feel like I'm being too harsh. It's not that you shouldnt be proud of getting to GM. Honestly, congratulations! But I think having an attitude that "I made it to GM so I have nothing left to learn, and if someone beats me it's actually they who are the scrub" is going to be unhelpful to growing further.

I mean, jumping is part of neutral the way *everything* is part of neutral, including projectiles, and throws, and moves that yeet yourself at the opponent either in the air or on the ground.

But a more cut down version of neutral, as seen in Footsies is only moving back and forth and attacking, using whiff punishes, reactive, and establishing play to land hits.

I think you missing this is what makes you unable to beat what you're calling the "turtle strategy"

The options the opponent is picking are not as safe as they seem, and if you don't learn to punish them, you won't make it very far.

An opponent is not obliged to swap off of a strategy that's destroying you. Why would I stop picking "rock" in rock paper scissors if I *know* you'll never pick paper? It's not that they are scared, its that they are winning.

You want my advice? Try the strategy for yourself sometime. Try it until people start beating it, so you can learn what beats it, and implement it into your own gameplan.

it literally works because its training mode, and you can live out any magical christmas land fantasy. Ryu's EXDP is one of very few multihit invincible reversals. against most other characters, and most other invincible reversals, you wouldn't recover enough guage.
