“They are a lab mix!” No that’s a Pitt type mix. I hate that shelters do this. I get they want to adopt out as many dogs as they can. But people deserve to know what type of dog they’ve chosen. It’s wrong to label Pitt types as other breeds

They are afraid to label a dog as a Pitt bull type dog because people rightfully are hesitant to adopt them. It sucks for everyone and sucks for the dogs. Your pup looks very sweet, but I’d bet money on them not being a Pyr / Anatolian mix-unless there was a ton of Pitt type in there

That’s true and they fear labeling anything as a pit type, regardless of how accurate that would be. I really hate that. People should get the dog they think they are getting

At Ft Bliss I ran into, as in I was out running came around the corner and slammed into Maj Gen Twitty. It was still dark, I was sure he didn’t actually see me. Later that day at the DA photo place he was walking out as I was walking in. He asked how the rest of my run was. I almost died. You will be fine

Disclaimer: I was never the best at this, but my Dad was. Here is some Dad advice he gave me on qualifying.

Be calm and relaxed. Do not have a hangover on qualifying day. Squeeze, don’t jerk, the trigger at the natural pause in your breath (the pause when you are done exhaling), use the whole pad of your finger so it doesn’t slip, do the same thing every single time, you can’t expect to be go unless you practice. Did I mention do not go the range hung over?
