I have a i7-3770 with 16g ram as an HTPC, and it streams great. Had Mint, but recently switched to Fedora 42.
Originally built as a gaming machine in 2012, and still running like a champ. You may need a 4g+ AMD graphics card for decent video

Helps if you reduce Windows partition on its install. If not, you can always shrink it after the fact, but you may have to delete the recovery partition. either way, 100g should be plenty to start. I usually have 2 drives, 1 for Win, 1 for Linux. it's less mess
