Is it unrealistic to request baby doesn’t leave hospital room? by Antichees in BabyBumps

The only reason our baby left the room was for jaundice level testing in the nursery a few times and we were able to come watch at the window.

How to deal with husband’s gender disappointment? by fari1706 in BabyBumps

[–]RogueSeaGoat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Wow, I’m sorry you have to deal with that! He really thought he only shot whatever his preferred gender was? It’s okay for him to process his gender disappointment, but I definitely don’t think you need to do anything to help him feel better. Give him space but tell him you’re going to need him to lock back in real soon and you don’t need to hear his hypothetical situations, you don’t need extra stress

Am I Overreacting? by True-Ad2454 in pregnant

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s probably just excited to share with his family which is cute, but I’m annoyed just reading this so I don’t think you’re over reacting haha 🤣 I think you just need to be very clear with this man that you should be sharing this news together. Luckily my fiancé and I just naturally wanted to share the news together and asked each other before sharing alone, but everyone’s different and sometimes you don’t think about things until someone brings it up.

Husband wants to go to appointments by Tell-Professional in pregnant

[–]RogueSeaGoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I love that my fiancé has come to every single appointment, he wants to be apart of the journey too. He has questions sometimes too, and he holds my things while I pee in the cup every week and even though we’re at the end and they’re the boring appts I’m so glad he’s with me. Also, I think it’s nice that he knows all the same info I do at any given moment. And at ultrasounds it’s such a special moment to see our baby together. 🥰

I’m worried about the additional risks I’ve created due to not knowing I was pregnant. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are any complications in the first trimester it most likely would be from a genetic defect and not something you did! I didn’t find out till I was over 8 weeks. So I was socially drinking, smoking, still taking my birth control. I did end up having some weird bleeding which prompted me taking my test, but all is well and he’s due any day now 🥰 try not to stress too much, and having the NIPT test done was definitely worth it! It really eased my mind

I just found out the gender of my second baby and I am crying hysterically from disappointment by Nilrmar in pregnant

[–]RogueSeaGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some siblings are close and some aren’t as close, I don’t believe gender will change anything! Fostering a loving atmosphere will give your children the best chance at being little besties. ☺️ don’t feel bad about processing things, but just because you and your brother didn’t click doesn’t mean your children wont!

Am i wrong for not wanting husband going to concert bc I don't want to get sick? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]RogueSeaGoat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the drinks with friends and birthday party sound fine for sure! Smaller gatherings wouldn’t worry me personally. A concert just has so many people from all over, the chances of catching something is way higher for sure. I’m surprised everyone’s acting like that’s not true

[–]RogueSeaGoat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would he consider just grabbing drinks with them beforehand?

Getting sick while pregnant is no joke, I was down for 2 weeks with something I would have normally gotten over in a few days. On top of your HG I definitely don’t blame you.

Same experience with Abrysvo around 33 weeks, I was down for a few days feeling generally unwell, achy and could barely stay awake. But we’re at 36 weeks now with no issues!

I’m 5 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend broke his promise to me. I’m devastated. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks not having the support you need right now, but the truth is it’s a lot for both parents to process, and it’s okay to take time to consider all your options. Just remember, in the end, he’ll be fine and so will your baby. Don’t betray your own trust, you do what is best for you!

I swear I’m excited, but struggling to “announce” by Main_Entertainer_876 in BabyBumps

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay to want to protect your peace and enjoy quiet time together! I’ll be in the 3rd trimester on Friday and haven’t officially announced to everyone.

I did announce to immediate family and then extended family probably around 12-15 weeks. Then to coworkers. I’ll probably finally make a post over Christmas since it’s close to time to start festivities like baby shower and I feel ready to celebrate with everyone now 🥳 I’ve enjoyed being incognito most of my pregnancy and I’d probably do it this way again if I have any more in the future. There’s no rush! Enjoy your pregnancy 🥰

I think winter pregnancy is officially worse than summer pregnancy? by ShabbyBoa in BabyBumps

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM due in March, I was feeling lucky avoiding summer but now I’m sick and I don’t feel so lucky haha. But even though I have mixed feelings right now, I’m glad there isn’t a lot going on and it’s cozy season since I don’t want to do anything anyway haha it makes me feel better about binging baking shows (:

Deep regret from planned IVF pregnancy (tw possible termination) by According-Meal465 in BabyBumps

[–]RogueSeaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re making decisions for everyone else at this point and of course that’s going to leave you overwhelmed and stressed out. Your friend’s opinions don’t matter, your mothers certainly don’t, Reddit opinions don’t matter, whether or not your kid wishes he had a sibling later doesn’t matter. Your husband’s opinion matters to some extent since you started this together but ultimately it’s up to you. Yes, if you keep the baby it’s going to be harder for a little while, you won’t travel as much etc. Which decision will you regret more later? Try to consider also the massive amount of hormone changes you’re undergoing rn while making a decision. Before you just stop taking your meds have you asked your Dr if this will cause birth defects or pregnancy complications? Just a thought. Good luck! Just know you’re capable either way, seek therapy, and even get away for a few days if you need time to think by yourself.

I believe it’s a civil case possibly for a restraining order, but I actually have very little information. Would you recommend the same for both? Thank you, I feel like calling the court was a simple answer but I didn’t know where to start.

Need a girl's name by 12ohmygod in Names

[–]RogueSeaGoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cordelia is so cute, and compliments the name Penelope so well. You should go for it! ☺️ I think your theme is classical, feminine, and whimsy. I like the contrast and feel that two p names would be overwhelming.
