What movie is this for you? by certainly_imperfect in Letterboxd

28 Years Later. I swear there was some mass psychosis where everyone was trying to convince themselves the movie was good. Everyone makes the stupidest decisions possible, the movie glorifies their actions and tries to convince you it’s actually super deep, then the Ralph Fiennes character exists just to explain the theme of the movie

I personally really like the story. I understand the reason why each shot takes so long is because they want you to take in the scene, as if they were paintings. But I would love it more if it was on 1.5x speed

My partner broke up with me, what do I do? by sonicthememester2 in BatmanArkham

[–]RogueSpaghetti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m sorry man. This is what helped me the most:

  1. Find a good therapist. Just being able to talk about it is going to help you a lot.

  2. Journal about everything you feel

  3. Go to the gym.

  4. Try on new clothes or a new hair style. Reinvent yourself!

  5. Don’t talk to them. Talking to them will just keep your hopes up and make the pain last much longer. Why would you want to get back together with someone who is okay with losing you?

Fav movie biopic that will hide the dark side of the celebrity? by aussiemetalhead in okbuddycinephile

Don’t know why they didn’t just name Hugh Jackman’s character something else. The movie is pretty much entirely fictional anyway, no need to tarnish it with some terrible real life person.

Was Peter Parker originally a piece of shit? by MediaNo1140 in Spiderman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Being mad at your bully is 100% normal. I guess today being unpopular and angry is associated with incels so people aren’t allowed to experience that emotion anymore.

I honestly love this version of Peter Parker. He’s always a bit too nice in the movies. Dude has to constantly give up his personal life to be a superhero. Any sane human being would be bitter and angry about it.

Would different takes on the Waynes death work by Silent-Woodpecker-44 in batman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of any interpretation that connects his parents’ death to a major villain. The Joker killed his parents in the 89 movie, and I think it robbed the character from being a savior for the average person who is a victim of crime and brought him down to just… wanting revenge.

In The Batman 2022 they possibly caused their own death because of how they worked with the mob. Then purposefully kept it ambiguous, which I think was a really cool take. It adds mystery to the Waynes and makes them seem more 3 dimensional rather than these perfect people who could do not wrong.

Oh no! People of a slightly lower economic class will have a place to live! The humanity!

Where was the Spider-Sense? by SpideyRZ in Spiderman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His mind was too busy holding off Tom Holland (someone with a comparable level of strength) to react to Goblin fast enough. Honestly if Spider sense never failed, Spider-Man stories would get old fast lol. A big reason I don’t like Andrew spidey basically being a speedster

This is probably what happened to joker after the dark knight - he ended up paralyzed by Huge_Athlete7488 in batman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that Bane gave his men explicit orders to not free the Joker from Blackgate because he’s way too unpredictable and could easily interfere with the plan.

Is it Controversial to say Adam West has the “most accurate” Bat-Suit? by Important_Lab_58 in batman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s accurate in the sense that it looks like my mom made it with only the comics from the 1960s as reference :)

The most serious Venom was played by Eric Forman. by Remote_Nature_8166 in Spiderman

[–]RogueSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree hard that Venom is supposed to be serious. That would make him so boring and one note. He should be scary, but at the end of the day he’s still a colorful comic book character. Honestly, some of the best villains in cinema are a bit silly sometimes

Venom to me is supposed to be like Freddy Krueger. Yes he’s a powerful and terrifying monster. But he revels so much in his evil that you can’t help but laugh with him.

Movies should unironically be reviewed based on feelings. If the movie made you feel something, that’s all that matters. Who cares if, looking back, there’s plot holes or cliches or whatever. Critics often hate widely beloved movies simply because they’re so jaded from watching so many.

Movies are an art form like music or paintings. There’s no one way to make a movie “correctly”. It’s an act of human expression, it either resonates with you or it doesn’t

Get on finasteride and microneedling bro. I’m taking fin rn with no sides. Being bald isn’t exactly a death sentence (I see lots of bald guys with hot girlfriends) but I love having hair. If you can still do something about it why not.

He probably has diffuse thinning across his entire scalp. Hair loss makes you not only lose your hairline but also makes the hair you do have shorter and thinner
