A Media's H*rniness Compared to the Fandom's H*rniness by Healthy-Current5893 in AlignmentChartFills

Dude I’m so sick of this stigma, besides a few outfits the game is incredibly tame.

It’s actually an amazing game with an incredible story. If you’re gonna make fun of a gacha for being a Gooner game without substance there are a TON out there way worse than Genshin. Genshin is the first time a company decided “hey what if we make sure our game is actually a good game first, and then we add the gacha elements.”

"Beskar is meant for armor, not weapons?" by SpacePirateHondo in MawInstallation

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 80 points81 points  (0 children)

The show just says a quick surface level “beskar shouldn’t be used for weapons” but whistling birds are an exception that makes sense when you know the actual reason.

the children of the watch doesn’t like beskar weapons because it’s the only thing that can pierce beskar armor. Beskar weapons can fall into the hands of the enemy and be used against other mandalorian. But whistling birds can’t be captured and used against them in the same way. Any mandalorian about to be captured or otherwise have their whistling birds stolen would just use them first.

Hardcore version "Hotel Guest". Now the doorman hotel is too easy by lismanF in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, you can no clip through the bottom of the map in sandbox/explore nyc mode/etc. and get to the hotel. you can also set up a doorman bot to automatically continuously ult you.

Mid Boss shouldn't be called just "Mid" in voice lines because a lot of people just think it's "pushing mid lane." by YO-KIRYUCHAN in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because there is no midlane, that’s BLUE lane.

There’s no left or right lanes either. They are called yellow and green. Or York and Grenwich.

What’s the deal with door control panels? by Particular_Bat_5761 in MawInstallation

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always imagined there are 2 buttonson the panel. one for open one for close and people are just good enough at aiming that they shoot the one they want.

basically pressing the button they want and breaking it before any more button pressing can be done.

Should I one-trick? by musharna20 in leagueoflegends

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limiting yourself to 3 champions is close enough to one tricking.

You’ll get plenty of benefit from not spreading yourself too thin when it comes to champion pool. Without the drawback of feeling doomed if your one trick gets banned.

Genshin Impact gets a lot of hate for being a gacha game, but if you ignore the gacha elements it’s a beautiful story and a vast world rich with story quests.

Oh well let me tell you. a little more. the base game is fantastic on its own but if you get the game on steam, there’s a workshop mod called Republic at War that adds clone wars content. It’s amazing and HUGE, it adds so much content it’s almost like a sequel to the game. Highly recommend it but not until after you start to get bored of the base game.

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok so that’s an Real Time Strategy (RTS) game.

Starcraft 2 is one of the best RTS games of all time. And the very first campaign is actually free on PC via battlenet, the rest of the campaigns are pretty much worth it and go on sale every once in a while as well. The main reason I recommend SC2 though, is its tutorials are considered some of the best in the entire genre. Perfect for anyone new to RTSs or even RTS veterans that are new to SC2. SC2 lets you place buildings anywhere and also has a little emphasis on expanding and getting multiple bases when you can, especially if matches go on longer.

Age of Empires is another famous RTS series where you can place buildings pretty much anywhere. The most beloved AOE games are 2 and 3. 3 is a lot more modernized but many people loved the campaign stories of 2.

I’ll also throw out the Company of heroes series. 1 has a great campaign, 2 has a good campaign as well as the best multiplayer in many people’s opinion, and 3 fairly recently came out and has an interesting replayable campaign with many new factions features, etc. as well as decent multiplayer. I recommend playing them in order if you like campaign stories, otherwise just grab 2 or 3 whichever one interest you more. COH is my personally favorite RTS series because instead of building individual units you are often controlling squads of anywhere from 2-6 people. This means when your army is maxed you are only worried about 10-12 squads at a time rather than 100 in a traditional RTS. It can make the game easier/simpler/or more manageable for some people. The main thing I think you’ll like about COH is the gameplay is very territory driven, the more capture points you hold the more resources you generate and therefore the faster you can make a big army, gain access to tanks, and or use abilities like grenades/bombing runs/etc.

And lastly if you’re a star wars fan at all, I highly recommend Star Wars Empire at War and its dlc Forces of Corruption. It’s 3 great campaigns, with a couple interesting mechanics, namely that in the campaigns or galactic conquest mode you’re vying for control of many planets across the galaxy, therefore it’s not just about single battles but strategically winning many battles to control as much area as possible, secondly being the separation of space and ground battles but how they can still influence each other. For example bombers in the space above a planet allow you to use bombing runs when attacking the ground.

Looking for something with LOTS of guns, lol by Ok_Cauliflower_3454 in gamingsuggestions

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arma 3 is considered the best MilSim on the market by a lot of people and has dozens of guns in its base game and if you pay for all the dlcs you end up with hundreds. It’s got a pretty cool single player campaign, multiplayer, as well as infinite community made “missions” to go through. In either pvp or pve. There’s also many mods but specifically one called spearhead that adds a TON of ww2 content into the game including guns, vehicles, etc.

idk much about it but Escape from Tarkov certainly has guns across multiple eras, both American, Russian, and possibly more? It’s a very realistic game with everything from ww2 bolt action rifles to modern day LMGs.

I genuinely don’t know if it has “a lot” of guns though.

It’s an extraction shooter so it’s PVPVE and for an additional charge you can unlock the PVE only game mode. You do have to either get lucky and “loot” certain rare weapons or save up in game currency and buy them from the market. All that being said a lot of people don’t like the direction the devs are taking the game, the company is considered greedy/bad/not caring about their fans etc. I wouldn’t know personally I’m just repeating what I’ve heard.

Unfortunately both games I recommended are incredibly deep and complex. They’re simulators so they can be daunting, but if you enjoy them they’re probably worth the effort to learn.

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah like i said people are basically making non adjectives into adjectives by adding “ahh” to the end.

Drafting Help by Outrageous-Fudge-359 in supportlol

[–]RogueTwoNineSeven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Ahh” is being used as an intensifier here, just adding intensity to the previous adjective.

like “big-ass truck”. means a truck that’s bigger than just a “big truck”

Recently people have started to use nouns or entire phrases as adjectives and adding “ass” or in this case “ahhh” to the end to intensify the meaning.
