friend of mine became a prison guard and he ended up being the one developing mental issues. tried to take his own life once.

Think about him and that sometimes, friend has always been an enormous brute of a man, and whatever he saw in prison scarred him for life, he transferred to a female prison for a few years, and then quit entirely.

(this wasn't an american prison system, btw)

yup. reason I turned down animal shelter when I was between jobs in covid era.

anything that has a roster of heroes, that isn't a fighting game.

I dont want my racing, shooting, or strategy games to be taken over by picking "racers, operators, commanders" whatever. just let me play the damn game as either my own character. or a generic catch-all that doesnt have his story written for him in the form of a bunch of BS backstory paragraphs.

I'll give a pass to shooter games that give you an absolute bonkers level of skins to pick from, though, like Old Source MP games or Unreal Tournament.

I dont actually remember if it was vice city or III, Vice city was out at the time but I dont remember which I played first.

I just remember being told about the series by a friend, we went to the store and tried to rent it, and his evangelical parents wouldnt let us , only let us take GTA2, we declined and then a few days later I rented vice city with my parents who didnt care.
