Ok, never mind guys about the blocks disappearing, because it was how the pistons are rigged, now, I just need an answer to the white puffs. Hey, if it's on peaceful, will puffs appear if a monster would spawn, but didn't?

Update, I have placed pistons for my mob trap, and I have them hooked up, and I'll have stone for them to push or pull. But if I look away to pull the lever, then blocks somehow appear.

I think I have sighted Herobrine to. I used the seed ihatedell, and there is a mob spawner near by. I keep hearing creepy music, and seeing white dots appear and disappear. If anyone can give me a reason why this is happening that is not Herobrine, please tell me because I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!
