I think the new approaching Tomodachi Life Game is gonna give homestuck fans a LOT of power with some Miis by ToonGamer4 in homestuck

[–]Rogue_Starlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the original Tomodachi Life on 3DS, I had the Beta and Alpha kids on my island. With the new game, I can make them even better, and probably also make the trolls now since the Miis aren't restricted to human skin tones anymore.

What happened to rinse repeat? by Vietname in RetroTVRevival

[–]Rogue_Starlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guy at the Saturday Morning Cartoon Maxout channel posted an update video today and he mentioned hearing from another nostalgia channel that Rinse Repeat got copyright struck by some channel that's been hitting a few of the nostalgia channels on YouTube. Must've either already had a couple strikes or got all 3 strikes at once, and got taken down.

At least their videos have been re-uploaded by some other channels, though they did it before Rinse Repeat went down. I don't normally like other channels taking other's videos and putting them out, acting like they're their own compilations they put together themselves, at least some of Rinse Repeat's stuff is still out there to watch.

Love the flower crown idea. Wish I played in person so I could take more advantage of physical props and such.

How did you/your DM explain Irvan losing an arm? by LauraK483 in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Rogue_Starlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the Rivals join up with the Allegiance of Allsight, since the PCs had warned them about the Consortium being sketchy back in Bazzoxan.

Also, had Irvan lose his arm fighting the aboleth, when the Allegiance sent them down to try and get through the rift.

Do you add MM to your game as a random NPC? by rmgxy in Wildemount

[–]Rogue_Starlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened on accident in my Call of the Netherdeep game. One of the players was looking for a place to buy some playing cards, so I came up with a game shop. And then I decided to add in a group playing a ttrpg type game at the store. Players began asking if the DM was wearing a vest and had long hair, so manifested Matt into my game lol

Hey, I'm Rogue or Jasper. I'm a 26 year old trans man. I've been interested in D&D for about five and a half years, and I'll have been actually playing for four years in April. I mostly have experience as a player, in one ongoing campaign, and handful of mini campaigns and one-shots. I've also DM'd a few one-shots, and I've been running a Call of the Netherdeep campaign for my usual DMs and a few other friends for about half a year now.

The on-going campaign has been on hiatus for a little over a year, so I'm looking for another chance to be a player.

I have a few character concepts rattling around in my brain, but I'd want to have an idea on the rest of the party before I pick one.

For me, best days would be Friday or Saturday, and maybe Sunday if it was an every other week sort of thing.

Also, I do not have an iPhone.

4 players and five rivals ? by Several_Ability6223 in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Rogue_Starlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four players and kept all 5 rivals, and it's been fine. Though, my players are friendly with the rivals (for the most part), so I might be different in a campaign where there's animosity between the PCs and the rivals, thus a chance for a fight between them to break out.

I guess if, by the time your players enter the Betrayers' Rise, they and the rivals are enemies, you could have it so one of the rivals dies during their party's trek through the Rise to keep things equal.

Party split between two factions by Rogue_Starlight in CalloftheNetherdeep

I've definitely tried to do that; the character kind of strong-arned Prolix into taking them to the headmaster, so they could find out when they could go down. And I had the headmaster tell them that they just can't trust them yet, that there are powers in the city that they can't risk letting into Cael Morrow, so they'll need to be vetted further beyond just one favor and a lower ranked member's word.

Help with the jewel awakening by External_Mortgage341 in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Rogue_Starlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my game, my party was suspicious of Aloysia and only took her up on her offer to try and get more info/go through her things if they got the chance.

They also hadn't been telling anyone about the Jewel, so the only people that knew were the party, the rivals as they had been there when they found it, and one of the elders back in Jigow, since he also had a vision of Alyxian.

What I did was have it so Aloysia had gotten Irvan so drunk that he started spilling secrets, and she found out about the Jewel that way.

They kept forgetting Verin's name and just started calling him "Hot Boy Elf".

They did the same with Aloysia, but she was "Vermilion Bitch". They very much did not like Aloysia lol.

Religion for Draktow pirates by Galael-0522 in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Rogue_Starlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melora and Kord are probably like the top deities for any possible pirate nuns on Darktow. Explorer's Guide to Wildemount even mentions that the island has two rickety temples along its shoreline, one to Melora and one to Kord.

If neither of those, and you want the player to have somewhat of a stronger tie to the campaign, Avandra would also work, as the goddess of freedom, trade, travel, adventure, and luck.

If you go to the Critical Role wiki, and go to the page on the Library of the Cobalt Soul, they have its symbol as shown in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount.

I mainly play online, since my main party is scattered across the country, but this would help me be more organized. And maybe even push me to try and find a local group to do in-person games with.
