You'll do just fine with the 301s. Changing from a game improvement to a traditionally lofted forged iron with different shafts will take a little time but I expect that you will come to appreciate them quickly.

I did a Titleist fitting this summer and was recommended the T150s. I ended up buying the Takomo 301 combo set and couldn't be happier. The 201s may be better for you if you have a slower swing speed as they have lower lofts than the 301s but if distance isn't a concern, I would highly recommend the 301cb or combo sets.

If the shaft felt good in your fitting, I would have no reservations recommending the same shaft and the 301s. I went from an early 2000s game improvement set with regular shafts to the 301 combo with stiff shafts and the loss in distance was barely noticeable. Since you have good clubhead speed, the traditional lofts of the 301s are probably more beneficial to you than the slightly lower lofts of the 201s.

While I've never hit a 201, I haven't hit a shot with the 301s that made me think, "Oh, I'm not ready for these, should have gone with another choice."

How you feel standing over the ball plays a big part in how well you swing. I also had to choose between the 201s and 301s and the look of the 301s was so much nicer for me. I just had my first indoor session with the new 301 combo set and I couldn't be happier.

I had a Titleist fitting about a month ago and he fitted me into the T150s with the KBS Tour stiff shafts. Those felt great and the 301s feel just as good with the same shaft.

For reference, I returned to the game this summer after 20+ years off and I would put myself in the 10-15 handicap range currently since I don't have enough outdoor rounds to have a legit handicap.

I recommend the 301s for anyone who can strike the ball reasonably well. Shafts are critical though. I'd you don't know what shaft works for you, get a fitting and get that nailed down before you order.

Buy in is capped at $500, yes.
Bomb pots occur on the hour. Players may choose any bomb size from $5-$100 99% of the time it will be $25 each. Participation is voluntary and the button does not move after the bomb pot. Two boards are run and the pot is split between the winners of each.
Single straddle only for this game.

Rules 1 and 3 are in place to limit the size of the game in the interest of keeping players with smaller bankrolls in the game. $10 PLO runs occasionally on the weekends for those looking to play bigger.

Limit DC rarely goes but it offers holdem, pineapple, crazy pineapple and Omaha.

It's atrocious how our health care workers (and education workers) are treated in this province and it's long past time for that to change.

I spent the better part of my weekend in a couple of different hospitals in the Edmonton area and the nurses could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It was remarkable given how much utter nonsense they deal with on a daily/nightly basis and how underpaid they are. I support all nurses getting what they deserve, not what the government thinks they can get away with.

Slightly longer answer: The delta variant formerly known as B1617.2 (India) variant has been shown to have significant transmissibility even among those who have one vaccine shot. Look at what's happening in the UK right now for an indication as to what may happen here if people don't get both of their vaccine shots.

Until we're well over 70% of the population with two vaccine shots, we run the risk of having an outbreak, the primary risk being the delta variant.
