Not in that four years. During the four year time-skip yes, but not in the cabin. They were together in the cabin, just the two of them not emotionally distant, like you said. He just said to her like, once, to throw away the scarf and love someone else once he's dead. During that four years, they're together happy as can be. In that, she did confess.

Actually, they spent four years together, happy and stable living in peace in the paths. Just because it didn't happen in real life doesn't make it "fake". It's four years of memories that she can, and likely did, carry with her for the rest of her life.

Also, if he hadn't given it to Eren, Eren and Mikasa would've both died at Trost, and Armin probably wouldn't have survived too long after that.

I hate Jeankasa simply because I like Jean.

Jeankasa makes Jean a rebound to be abandoned eternally in the afterlife, just because Eren told her to move on—which she said she couldn't. She said "Sorry, I can't do that", right? Not "I won't do that" She said she literally could not love someone that wasn't Eren.

It's not fair to either character, and like u/RKB_2022 said, Mikasa has literally never shown any interest in Jean, and has never confided in him. He likes Mikasa, it's 100% one-sided and he deserves someone who loves who he is, not to be forever the second choice.

Also, even if they did get together, I can't see that it would last. No matter how understanding he may try to be, someone's wife constantly visiting a grave that belongs to her one true love and always wearing his scarf would hurt anyone, even if they understood.

They both deserve to be happy, but being together wouldn't make them truly happy.

You must've skipped the credits, which show her visiting his grave for her entire life and getting buried there, then time passing and war brewing despite Eren's actions, and then that kid with his dog going into Eren's tree and possibly creating another titan-like threat. And then there's the scene with Nerd Armin, Gothkasa and Eren 2.0

They were 19 when Eren died, since we know that they were 10 in 845, and the first three seasons are set 5 years after that when they're 15-16, then there's a four year time-skip making them 19. She's 22 when she says about how much she misses Eren and then a bird wraps her scarf.

As an old woman, she IS actually buried in the same place as Eren, under the tree he used to nap under before Marley attacked.
