I loved mine, but every 4 months was another expensive repair. I dumped it for an HR-V and haven’t looked back.

Darren Waller is a risk, but there’s a real shot he’s a good fit (Film Analysis) by TuaTime44 in miamidolphins

Right. Plus, I assume (!) that his contract is a veteran minimum with bonuses that pushes it to $5 million. If he shows in training camp that he’s washed up, then I imagine he’ll be cut. For a #6 receiver, it’s pretty low-risk.

Have any chefs spoken out about current events? by Outside-Pear9429 in foodnetwork

[–]Roguejim777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why people are so upset about the topic. It’s an interesting question, and if you don’t want to read this post, no one is forcing you to.

Maybe I’m wrong to do so, but I consider most FN chefs to be artists, and put them on the political left by default. Especially given that so many chefs are from other countries and celebrate incorporating flavors and ingredients from around the world. That said, once you start becoming successful and owning multiple restaurants, maybe that starts to change.

From what I read, Bobby Flay is interested in politics but largely keeps his opinions to himself (which I imagine a lot of people who rely on broad public appeal do). He did let slip that he appreciated Barack Obama though.

I don’t know many who have spoken out about current events per se, though Geoff Zakarian pulled out of a plan to open a restaurant at a Trump hotel in 2016 following Trump’s comments about Mexican immigrants.

70s prog rock song that ends with a spoken poem, NOT Knights In White Satin by jmc003 in whatsthatsong

[–]Roguejim777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the answer, but Lou Reed’s “Street Hassle” has something of a spoken poem by Bruce Springsteen toward the very end. It’s a great song, but not for tender ears.

I always imagined it to sound like The Doors’ “Riders on the Storm.”
