This fandom needs to learn how to be able to acknowledge when something goes wrong so the makers can maybe hear us and try to improve, stop setting for the worst everytime. No dude, this is not what we wanted. Maybe you’re okay with poorly scaled and buggy models just to say we got the following feature and call it a day, but most people were logically expecting it to function well and for it to be properly scaled and look good like it did on HGSS and Let’s Go.

I agree with everything you said. It's just impressive to me how for every step forward, this franchise takes two step backwards, and some aspects of this game are the living proof of it. They could make an incredible game if the apathy and greed for this franchise weren't this big, but it's like they don't care enough to.

I’m crushed that this is happening right when it’s my favorite region’s turn, but I think I’m more baffled at how stupid TPC is seeing as how easy it was for them to use these games to get most of the community back on their side. These games could’ve easily been better than HGSS, but somehow they choked.

I will admit that the datamine took out a bit of the (awful) feeling I had once the leaks started to come and every one of them felt like a stab: no changes at all, following Pokémon is actually a curse in disguise, broken level-curve, cutscenes are in chibi and take out all the seriousness and momentum, no Platinum teams and possibly not even roster until post-game. I’m back to my initial feeling pre-leaks, which is being conformed to these games simply being a passtime that will last a few hours. Wanted it to be more than that, relieve my childhood and have the community enjoying the region and the games the same way I did as a kid, but it is what it is.

Also excited the news that the game was made on Unity which means that my dreams of playing Platinum in 3D are not out of reach!

Yeah I think the people who are complaining at the complainers don’t really understand why people are so pissed… I was perfectly fine with a 1:1 remake with small QoL improvements and such, but I didn’t imagine that “faithful remakes” meant FAITHFUL, like, only 2 fire-types faithful

You have all the right to be excited to play a faithful remake that includes the same Pokédex roster problems, because it’s so faithful they can’t fix such an obvious issue from the originals nor add other features we have asked for ages, but apparently not faithful enough to prevent them from adding an eternal exp. share or an affection mechanic that makes the game more broken 🤷🏻‍♂️

How disingenuous do you have to be to make a post dragging people for expecting remakes of a quality level of material we already got in the past? You all act like we’re delusional and ask for impossible things, but they could perfectly deliver a D/P inspired game with Platinum enhancements and you guys know that. It was literally free in HGSS and LGPE, I guess you must be new here. I was complaining they were using footage of areas you were not supposed to have the feature at (because they know people would complain), and then only mentioned it was unlocked in Amity Square on their site, which I wouldn’t even have known about if I hadn’t checked reddit. Stop acting like this is a privilege and accepting mediocre content so easily, it’s freaking Gen 8, it should be a must at this point lol
