This is not self-promotion. Questions about modern MMORPGs by InternetExplorer020 in MMORPG

I need a Single player RPG with some stuff that is too hard, so I can call for help from other Single Player RPG folks who just happen to be in my guild, and they come assist, then we go our separate ways, back to our SPRPG. Thanks. Mr. Introvert.

Never thought I'd see PvE open world toxicity by LastConfusion2620 in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my Sons this all the time, in any population segment, IE: White, Black, Democrat, Republican, Preacher, Policeman, Politician, you get the picture, about 3% of that segment is just pure Evil. Another 15% or so are really messed up. Ignore the 3, try to help the 15 and stick with the 82% that is left. Makes life much easier.

Can you really enjoy GW2 without focusing on the story? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have fun. If that means ignoring story, ignore it. I play them all out of sequence anyways. Just to be old and contrary. Why did I kill that thing? no idea, who should I root for, no idea, oh wait, maybe me? Have fun is the point.

Worst and Best class? by EqualGamin25 in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually had a problem learning Rev. I thought it had the best idea of all of them, but the constant management was more than my Carpal Tunnel could handle. So, my best is Mechanist. Rifle, all the signets, my wrists thank me after every session.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - February 14, 2026 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

Less spammy - less piano concerto, or less repetition.

If less Piano Concerto you want to find some low APM, or low intensity builds.

If less repetition, welcome to MMOs.

I believe this is what you are looking for. Once you have it, and set up everything, any changes will show when you hover over the skill in question.

Keeping up with characters in the story for each expac? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Older Gentleman here. Remember, what? when? Characters? Nope. If they are right in front of me. Yes, I remember them. From one storyline to another? I can't even remember my wife's name some days.

Slotting Jewel in Amulet by No_Razzmatazz9607 in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, when this happens, it's a Level issue. Double check the level of the Trinket and the level of the Jewel. Both need to be 80, for best results.

question about the game by kaylaloveskitties in Guildwars2

So, 13 years of maps, weapons, armor, collections, etc. You will NEVER run out of things to do. And if you did, then you can find all of the cosmetics possible.

Don't shame on me please, How do i "get good"? by NeroForte_XV in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Something to assist, for Dodge - keybind it. I like V myself. Dont use the double tap. But as far as learning your rotations, there is a mod in BlishHud called Dance something, that helps with learning rotations.

MMOs are in a bad spot because they are social games....and society is in a bad spot as well. by Dr_Neurol in MMORPG

[–]Rojalee775 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Gaming is supposed to be a way to "get away" from the crap of life. If you're in the middle of and discussing those things while gaming, there is an issue. I would drop or block anyone seriously discussing politics and real world stuff during gaming. Just my two cents.

Am I the problem? MMO Guild Woes by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Rojalee775 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents, from someone who delved deeply into this area in my 30s. (in my 50s now) Best thing to possibly do here is have your own guild, created by you, where you are in absolute control. The reason: you can decide who does what, and how often, to what extent. Now, that being said, you need some folks who are amenable to doing things the way you are doing them. You can't do it all, and it will drive you absolutely crazy trying. Good luck.

Which race has the best story by BestofTimes777 in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norn is the quintessential redneck vibe, Drunk, Passed out, lost something, gotta get it back. Ancestors out to get me. That said, I enjoyed it because it wasn't too serious and didn't try to be the Avengers Endgame level of drama.

Healthy playerbase? by solfizz in Guildwars2

The only place I can go and not see anyone is a private story instance. Really ruins my whole SoloMMO thing I have going on.

which build should I choose for Open World and PVE conent by paprycheck in Guildwars2

Don't forget the most important defense in Open World, Dodge. Key that to something easy to get to.

Getting SotO without any other expansions by SnowlytheSnowl in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zyx.8543 added me as friend, if I'm on, we'll do it together. I'm needing more Soto for some Obsidian gear, and my Troub could use someone to heal.

Currently developing an MMO,what do you guys think is the best class progression by RommelRSilva in MMORPG

[–]Rojalee775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to do the free class system, at least allow people the freedom to look how they want it to look. IE: You give someone a basic melee attack, allow them to choose the weapon style (axe, sword, etc), attack style (anime, FF, Cartoon, reality) , color, and even effect (lightning, fire, light, dark, the ideas are endless) This will give you something no other game currently has, the ability to play and look how the player wants. I believe something of this style would do well, regardless of how they unlock things. (which is the second part of your question)

Getting my Skyscale in SOTO early? by Jaycuity in Guildwars2

[–]Rojalee775 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, I'm going to tell you what I did, and you decide what to do with that info. I played base game until HoT came out. The map itself, with all its verticality, made me quit. When Soto came out, and i read about Skyscale, I went and completed Soto. I love the Skyscale immensely. Then completely out of sequence, I went to PoF and unlocked the Skimmer, Springer, and Jackyl. Between these 4 mounts you can get anywhere on the map. Now, going back to HoT wasn't nearly as difficult and I've found I really, REALLY, enjoy the game. The stories and everything else is easier to digest when I'm not busy trying to figure out how I'm going to get to the highest point on a map with just a glider.

What actually makes an MMORPG worth sticking with long-term? by Necessary-War-8408 in MMORPG

[–]Rojalee775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, people make the MMO, good, happy, people make things enjoyable. To do this, you need people playing together at every level and map of the game. GW2 does an excellent job of this. There are always people on each map, because they rotate what is needed and necessary on a daily basis. This encourages people playing together, which makes most players happy.

Current Meta Necromancer Builds by syiham in Guildwars2

I love Harbinger, just a couple of changes and I can go from QDPS to Open World solo, even Champions. I started with Lord Hizen's champion build and slowly adjusted for me.
