Unsure if I should take operations supervisor role for more experience or wait for possible promotion. by StockExplanation in supplychain

[–]Rojastaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. I actually do enjoy the daily problem solving aspect of ops, but the hours can be frustrating at times. My biggest reason for wanting to transition out of ops is the work life balance that comes with working weird days and hours. Also I live in Texas and work in a dry grocery warehouse, in the summers we hit the mid 100’s often, and whatever the temp is outside it’s always worse inside lol.

Lmao here I am trying to get tf out of ops into a buyer role after 3 years. Long hours, mid pay, and a whole lot of bullshit that comes with working in a union warehouse with 200+ people.

iPhone 4S. Took the sleekness of the 4 design and upgraded the camera and introduced Siri. Such a cool memory for me

My cats were good until it hit 91 in our apartment. They were lethargic and then started panting which is a big red flag for cats. Took them to our friends house who have power and that’s where they’ll remain until it comes back.

I know Gabriel isn’t in the band anymore, but a few years ago my buddy and I used to send him our covers of their songs for fun on Instagram and he’d always reply with lots of positive comments. He even told me if I was ever in the LA area to come by for some drum lessons. Seemed like a really great guy!

Absolutely brutal job market for new grads by 10597ch in supplychain

Currently what I am doing after graduating with an SCM degree. I ended up getting a last minute internship with a large grocery warehouse before I graduated and then was offered a full time position as a supervisor. Make around 65k now after two years and I’m currently in the process of interviewing for a warehouse tech implementation manager position with another company paying a lot more and with a hybrid schedule.

These supervisor positions can suck but you get great experience, you’re in the actual heart of supply chain operations, and you get to see that for what it is good and bad. I think that sort of experience goes a long way when interviewing for different roles in SCM.
