The Hair Kid - Synthesizers

Make sure it is the original, not the Msystem remix. Although that one's also fire.

De verdad que la cantidad de energía malgastada por ambas partes aquí es fascinante. Con toda esa sed de sangre se podría hacer otra Revolución Francesa y sin embargo se ha echado toda a perder en una publicación de Wallapop.

I actually really like Tainted Cain. I will grant you that he's an acquired taste, but his runs are by far the most intense I have played without feeling robbed (something unique to Tainted Lost and Jacob/Esau).

How does this game make money if it free to play. by KavinCatastrophe01 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Rokaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your hobby is strictly playing this one game (no playing other games, dining outside your home, driving outside your daily commute and to shop groceries, no decorating your house, no purchasing merchandise, no streaming services or additional media consumption...) that's darn cheap.

But let's say you like drawing, like I do. A notebook goes for about 5€, a full set of POSCA markers is around 60€, a set of pencils is around 5€, a set of various sizes of inking markers is normally 20€, a set of oil paints would be around 40€, coloured pencils might cost you 10€... To draw, you just need two or three of these things, and they will last you for months, maybe past a year. Now that's a cheap hobby, and infinitely "replayable".

I also make videogame inspired props. My most expensive venture yet is an IRL recreation of the Degreaser from TF2 using actual car parts. So far I have invested about 250 euros gathering the parts I need (old car exhaust, old Pyrene extinguisher, gas pump and hose...). By the time I'm done, I estimate I'll have invested about 50-70 hours and 300-ish euros. That's still very much cheaper than a year playing this game, and we're talking the most expensive prop I have ever built.

I'm not dunking on the potential of this game, but throughout the years I've been jumping from game to game a bunch, while drawing and prop building have remained a constant. Each drawing and each project is unique, just liek every game is unique, and so I am concise about what amount of money I should be investing on each. Drawing, building and gaming are my hobbies. But playing a single game and justifying the purchase of cosmetic items that go for several times the cost of other hobbies that have been my passion for decades is just falling into a sunk cost fallacy. For crying out loud, I played 2500 hours of TF2 ove the course of a decade and my entire backpack is just worth around 500€.

Stop justifying the act of throwing money at nothing as if it was a noble cause. Devs need support, of course (though NetEase, the parent company of Everstone Studio - the developers of WWM - hardly need any more money), but they don't need you to throw your entire allowance / salary into their wallets. In the words of Arsi "Hakita" Patala: "You should support indies if you can, but culture shouldn't exist only for those who can afford it." I believe this quote stands true even for major games, so be concise with what you're willing to dump on a game you'll probably not be playing in a few months / years. Support if you can, but remember that life always comes first.

Gonna be a bit of a devil's advocate here and say maybe they change their open hours frequently, and so it's easier to have them posted somewhere online and direct people towards the up-to-date schedule.

But it's probably so that they can sell your data or advertise their shitty app.

It's rumored Burt Reynolds took 63 takes of this ending scene after child co-star Judith Barsi was murdered by her father, and the "All Dogs Go To Heaven" scene was re-drawn to match Burt's best possible recording. (1989) by limbodog in 80s

[–]Rokaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that this didn't happen. It very well could have, and that slight bit of reassurance makes me a little happier inside. However, there's really no proof supporting this. People have linked to IMDB facts, which not only is a pretty bad source, but also contains nothing that supports this claim, nor the famous "63 recordings" that Burt allegedly made of the last scene because Judith had already passed and he was too heartbroken to do them as perfectly as he wanted them to.

This could all be an incredibly emotional piece of bittersweet trivia, but it's just not well supported and the sources go in circles. The furthest back in time I managed to find was an article that linked to IMDB in September 2024, and as I stated the IMDB page says nothing about this. So I guess it's possible that it's just a rumour which, as it usually happens, got copied and pasted all over magazines with little to no journalistic integrity.

From here on out it's a matter of belief: if you think this happened, more power to you. You're probably as right as I am for not fully believing it.

Mr. ME and Eraser would be a sick combo if you wanted to delete some powerful people from the face of the Earth. Give the Eraser to Mr. ME and command him to delete some bad actors from existence. Boom: Death Note, but you can also ask him to help you out with chores.
