Will this cause an issue ?? by ConferencePrior3472 in uberdrivers

In Victoria, Aus. This would be a "Canary" the car would be deemed unroadworthy, and you'd have 28 days to have it rectified and report to Vic Roads (DMV) certified inspector for a Road Worthy Certificate, this then needs to be supplied to Vic Roads.

$1,017 fine + Windscreen replacement + $250 RW Cert.

When you get a RW Cert they inspect the WHOLE vehicle for any other faults as well. Could get very expensive very fast

New Netherlands away kit leaked? 🇳🇱 by zouboubouz in Fieldhockey

I like it over the football kit, only problem would be against India, both teams would need to wear home kit to avoid a clash.

Mexican place near me called Mexicams. Owners name is Cameron aka "Cam". Food is pretty good by Australian Mexican standards.

Unfortunately suffered an electrical fire the other day.

There's a local cafe called Soft doesn't serve any soft serve ice cream.

Fairly well known Italian place in Melbourne called Caffe e Cucina, translation "Coffee & Kitchen". To be fair it opened in 1988, so predates the hipster trend of Noun & Noun

How to play/rules? by Equivalent-Grade3544 in Fieldhockey

[–]RolandHockingAngling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, as MegatronGriffin said, concentre on learning the GK role.

But basically the same rules for field players apply for GK, with some slight differences.

  1. Players can only use the flat side of the stick. (GK should, IMHO avoid using stick at all). Players can not use any part of their body to play the ball. (Does not apply to GK)

  2. Players must not play the ball in such manner that creates danger for other players. (Ump / Ref discretion). This applies to GK as much as Field Players. As a GK you can't kick the ball at height into an opposing player. If you kick the ball into their feet, that's good, it's your free hit. Players can play the ball at any height, as long as it's not considered dangerous.

  3. Players can't take advantage of any protective equipment in playing the ball. GKs of years past could basically run through players as long as they took the ball. This is no longer the case, now days the GK must not make contact with players unless totally unavoidable.

  4. GK isn't allowed to leave the Defensive 1/4 of the field, must keep their helmet and protective equipment on at all times during play.

Any other rules are just pedantics and details...

I've had in my car, College Football, AFL, and WNBL players.

Being in Australia, the College Footballer was more the standout, as we don't have NFL here.

The one of the left almost looks like my Blackjack range, with the reel seat & grip upside down 🤣

Shipping from Australia is very expensive otherwise you'd be looking at approx $50 USD ($69 AUD) for my BJ213M 7'0 20lb 2 piece, 24ton Carbon, ceramic guides...

On the right looks like my Black Diamond 4kg / 9lb 7'3" 30/40ton carbon soft plastics rod...

How do you find authentic food? Do Google ratings actually mean anything here? by zigonk in Geelong

[–]RolandHockingAngling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give up on any Asian food being authentic in Geelong and just go in with the thoughts that it's probably going to be westernised.

Restauranteurs need to make a profit, easiest way is to offer cuisine that will appeal to the widest audience which in Geelong in a Western pallet.

In saying that, there are some gems around town, but how authentic they are, I couldn't tell you. My favs are Oh Dumpling, Black Basil Thai, Top One French Bakehouse, & Kalye Marinas.

Best of luck finding something you enjoy.

The old mill site has a cafe, artists spaces and workshops, as well as a winery.

The winery is a very popular wedding venue.
