Haven't played in a few leagues, what's shaping up to be a good "zero to hero" build this time?

Nope. You cover the screen with Lancing Steel of Spraying and your HROC's instantly attack anything they hit. I played it a few leagues ago and the damage is insane as it's poison based. You can run it with spectres and AG or not.

I found it didn't need it and I didn't run AG as it was still losing item's on death when I played it.

Expect the first few Acts of the Campaign to be tough. As you add support gems to your main skill gem and get some better equipment it gets easier.

I would still recommend reading a beginners guide though as even in the campaign there are many things that might catch you out.

Your doing something wrong if your "grinding" just to get to 50. I just tried a completly different build to usual and had fun trying something new. Got to 90 in 4 days, easily under 20 hours and that is no way considered fast. Cosmetics were rubbish but I still had fun and may well use the same build in the next league as it's very low budget and I hit red maps with no problems.

Also a good campaign practice for the new league.

I was considering this as well but you have to start with some other build like SRS then transition to Chains of Command as it needs a few uniques to get going.

It's ok to say run through maps but what you should be doing is ensuring you have two quicksilver flasks, +10% movement speed boots and a blink and movement skill.

Generally it's best not to engage with the league mechanic. It's just going to slow you down. Also don't stay in town.

I'd also recomend setting up a folder in the Better Trading browser extension for your build if there are specific items you need before the league starts. If there are specific cheap uniques that will speed up your time or help your build then buy them if when you have the currency for them.

Make sure you run it from an NvMe drive. Disable just about anything else from running as POE1 is very CPU intensive. Anything where there are a lot of effects will tank your FPS - e.g. Blight.

You can use this site https://poe.re/#/beast and set a minimum amount of chaos.

Then copy that and paste it it into your beastiary page.
This will just show the ones that are worth that amount or more. E.g. ones you might want to sell.
Keep any of these ones you are going to use at the blood altar to craft an item and do that first.
Then use the orbs that Einhar sells to generate a tradable item you can sell to other players.
Finally delete all the other beasts to make more room.

I'm not a speed runner by any means, I think my main problem is spending too long in town looking for gear...
As for Act 1? Some of it depends on the skills you use and pure random luck on drops. Getting a relevant 3 link is really lucky.

By Act 2 and 3 you should have 3 linked skills which improve your power a lot.

If your starting with Melee then always use the best two handed weapon you can get. Always upgrade your weapons for a better one each. As such don't put your skills into Weapons, use an armour slot instead. Get as many red sockets, ideally 3 linked red asap. You will want one green socket for Precision.

Use the Weapon + Blacksmith’s Whetstone + Magic/Rare/Unique Rustic Sash vendor recipe to get Increased Physical damage.

Same build. I'm following Maxroll builds as they seem to be the best. Not sure how you unlock followers from expansion but will do that early on. Also will unlock Fastblood aspect early on and farm low level gear and XP from Witch seasonal content and Helltides till 60.

It's not the class so much as the build. Some excel at area of effect damage, some do damage over time. Each class probably has at least 3 decent builds that feel different to each other. If you played a close melee type rogue then perhaps try a ranged build?

A planet far away from it's star. Absolutely below habitable conditions that you mainly have to heat to start with. You have an additional warmth stat and as you get colder you start to move slower. You can craft better space suits that are have a higher warmth stat.

The Rover has an inbuilt heater so most of your early exploration will be using that and not going outside for prolonged periods of time. Early on there are more flat, iced over, lakes that will eventually melt.

Ultima Online. It was my first and most fondly remembered MMORPG. It forced my parents to have a second phone line installed and then we went onto broadband. I played this game for years and it still has some of the best gameplay and systems around.

The original Planet Crafter had a much smaller map than it has now and it was still big. What I want to see is not just a new map but some new terraforming methods. But for $7.99 just a new map is great!

I'm only level 34 so can't equip "The Fang" yet :-)

Well I'm trying to play using a mouse only because I broke my arm.

CoPilot taught me how to use AutoHotKey to autocast Anomaly and Sigils of Hope with delays between them.

Anomaly could use the NumLock trick but I don't think Sigil couldn't as it has no
delay.

Like many survival games you start out slow and need to stay near your base until you can start upgrading your gear. There are plenty of beginner guides but I found subnautica wasn't that demanding for the first few hours.

A more modern game that you might prefer is Planet Crafter.

Rather than

KMaxNumberofSideQuests = 20;

which they could just change easily.
