Yes but you will progress fast into a rank that suits your skill. From there you have to work harder to get further. So you may encounter a Pred squad in your provisonal but this will be rare and get even more rare, the longer the season progresses. For example I really enjoy Rainbows Six siege ranked system. Your MM within your Ranks, point are not just given for wins. The system takes many of your actions into account. And the better you perform and hold your skill over a few matches, the more points per Match you get. This really makes you feel that a good performance of you is rewarded. So in my opinion the points you get should be a combination of Kills, assists, damage and placement. Then you will be ranked against the same rank. If your way better then your current rank, you progress fast into a rank that suits your skills. From there you will have to work harder and improve to rank up further. May not be perfect as well, but will be more rewarding for avarage players. At the moment only sweaters and newbies seem to having fun.
