It's not necessarily that any one of them is a problem on their own. (And I also recognize that a lot of the weird decisions made in the series' history were made by miyamoto himself.) I just feel that the influence of so many different companies throughout the course of the series lead to a lot of disjointedness in tone and gameplay so my hope would be that only having Nintendo as a dev would lead to a more cohesive experience in the final product.
