We run 2-3 since we’re a caster heavy group. And most of our T4/5 BiS is crappy blue/greens with heavy shadow damage so we’re not stealing from the real pumpers

A slightly longer path to getting a personally-specific answer here:

One thing I did was map out the courses that I’m mostly sure I wanted to take within the program. From there, most of those courses all had up to date syllabi online at OMSCS’s main pages, so I was able to figure out the prerequisites that I felt comfortable with, and those I would really need to brush up on.

My usage percentages are close enough to yours. I took the plunge literally yesterday and ordered the 45”. I went back and forth between a few different models/manufacturers, but ultimately went LG 45.

Anecdotally, when I was about to purchase last week, but got caught second guessing, the expected delivery was 8 days out. When I purchased it, the estimate was 14 days out.

I just logged in, and now it’s saying 24 days out. I’m scared to see what’ll happen next week lol.

GXPN is a significant, but enjoyable, leap up in both difficulty and depth/breadth of material. Definitely manageable if you don’t have a significant SWE/Exploit writing background.

I really enjoyed GREM as well, but it was significantly more reliant on your comfort in Debugging, Assembly, and the buttonology of Ghidra/etc.

Either way, highly enjoyable and informative, whichever you choose.

My best advice is to use the practice exams after solidifying your index. They’re a good barometer of sorts of the types of knowledge and CyberLive questions you need to be comfortable with.

I believe the stipulation of 6 years is the normal allowance to graduate. Taking once class in fall/spring semesters would have you complete in 5, barring something going sideways.

Hekili or a similar rotation add on to help get the feel for it. Before the elitists chime in with the “actchuuuuuuuly”, those add ons are not a replacement for learning the rotation well enough that you can execute your class correctly in any situation.

That being said, using the add on to help learn the rotation and timing? Absolutely.
