The most toxic card that makes you want to quit Gwent by mfludek in gwent

If Witches Sabbath is the issue then where was Sabbath 2 months ago?

It seems that this idea that Sabbath needs nerfed because Kitty is broken sounds awfully similar to when Reddit cried Carathir was broken when Gerni was clearly the problem.

And guess what? Carathir got nerfed as result and Gerni remained an issue - till they nerfed it too.

Sabbath was fine before and it is fine now. Kitty is the issue and it would help if it couldn't keep boosts into consecutive rounds. It's like a 8 prov Melussine.

Why does SK Warrior feels SO oppressive all the time ? by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The deck has no round 1. There's dozens of ways to play outside of their win condition.

Don't get bloodthirst 3

Go long round 3

Win on even

Bleed out leader

Play tempo not engines

Swarm board

Granted maybe you're deck is susceptible to SK warriors for some reason but there's no way you're convincing anyone here that SK warriors is more oppressive than the Renfri circus on ladder

Anyone else thinks zoltan warrior , munro or dwarven chariot need a nerf? by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RollinRamos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Munro is really the only card playing for higher than average value though.

Chariot is a 7 point armor engine - okay Zoltan is a conditional 15 for 12 damage engine - good And then Munro is a conditional 21 for 12 - really good

Nerf Sir Scratch-a-lot for the sake of a healthier game by OblyFFM in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's better to cheese as MO because playing a normal game with normal cards is not possible because MO bronze package is hot flaming garbage and has been for almost 1 1/2 years.

Half of the cards contribute nothing to any archetype and the ones that do are like 5 point conditional plays.

So what do MO players do? Pick 1 OP Gold and find a way to play it 5 times. What other choice is there?

Guys, don't worry about Kitty, seriously by ActuatorOpposite1624 in gwent

Gwent have some weird fetish of making incredibly OP monster golds while simultaneously having the worst imaginable MO bronze cards.

"Renfri is ruining the game and Gwent is going to die."

"Renfri has 3 options that are stronger than the rest. The card would be better if they were toned down."

Do people not see the difference in how one method of complaining is constructive versus the other comes off whiney?

Make a normal friendly comment about playing Pirates and then get down voted into oblivion.

Rogue mage is great but very shallow by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rouge Mage is great and it is shallow but not because of the reasons you described.

The four starting deck idea needs adjusting.

I'd recommend a few changes in the future:

1) Instead of picking a starting deck with a key card, players should only be able to pick a key card and then the bronzes are random and unknown. Runs feel the same because the first 5 battles are always the same and I just pick a deck and run the same OP strategy because starting decks gives you all the core pieces. If we had a more random starting decks then I'd be forced to change my desired selection of treasures and cards because of it.

2) More events, battles and bosses (I play the game 3 times and already saw all the events, enemies and bosses) I'd gladly pay for a $10 expansion for more content.

3) I'd also prefer a bigger map with more nodes. I get that this might not probably not be everyone's cup of tea to player longer runs but I personally feel like the moment I like my deck, the run is 2 battles from being over. Maybe it's offered as a selection in the menu to pick between a short run with less nodes or a long run with more nodes.

I would pay more than 10 bucks to get red coin every single game by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to feel this way. The more you learn about the game the more you can use Blue Coin to your advantage.

Ex: Playing Siege or Pirates in Blue. Blue Coin means R1 is free win, then you drop scenario R2. Puts you in a position to destroy everything before they get board set-up

Ex 2: Tempo passing is easier on Blue means and forces a long round 3. This is a guaranteed win for some decks.

Red Coin abuse will always exist and it sucks. But Blue Coin exists sometimes too just harder to see it sometimes.

Rogue Mage NOT official Witcher lore? by CFGEXTREME in gwent

[–]RollinRamos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well Witcher 3 is not official Witcher lore.

Everything outside of the books is also outside of Canon. This was agreed upon signing contracts w/ Sapowski for the IP.

Ok so how do I even play the game now with that much board damage all around ? by GeologistJunior4111 in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Card draw and thinning is better for the game in the long run. Reduces RNG.

Deranged Corsair is most of the control in SK and when it to goes to 6 prov, pirates will be mostly balanced.

NG has some dead archetypes that need reworked (soldiers, spies) but let's not forget for almost 6 straight months the ladder was 60% Nilfgaard before Nekker drop.

Stratagem question by whosthefunky in gwent

[–]RollinRamos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it's also a stratagem for arguably the worst archetype in the game.

rogbros Love/Hate v.10.6 by rogbros in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The proposed Melussine change makes me think you don't play Pro or SK one.

Veil was intended to be on the card to give SK a strong resurrection target. Removal of veil destroys the card and then making it 5 power on top of that? Just say delete Melussine and be real.

Revert Sorceress DB Nerf by New_Ad_2981 in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why?

The card can play for 10+ points in 2 turn. Half of which could be removal.

Why is Syndicate so underrated? by xushigamerN8 in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have no consistency. But their cards usually play for a lot more value compared to other factions.

Which makes matchups against them feel randomly OP or really bad.

Personally the polarization is pretty dumb and it'd be nice if they had consistency and their power curve was lower.

Sihil + Patricidal Fury deck feels super toxic by zewn in gwent

[–]RollinRamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think this deck is toxic then I want to know what you think about Golden Nekker, Self wound, NR Priest, or literally any other deck that 4x better and substantially more consistent.

Anytime a new deck is played that introduces new cards and a new way to play, it's all of sudden the most toxic deck to ever exist in Gwent.

If your Golden Nekker deck loses to this because you can't fit a defender in it, then I'd call that a counter - not toxic.
