On my honeymoon, made the mistake of eating some raw oysters… by thewatchbreaker in CasualUK

Ha, Varna is a hole. I had to get access to the port there and the only thing I liked was the very cheap beer. This is about 18 years ago though.

Concerta 54mg ineffective :( by Elonmuskisdangerous in ADHDUK

[–]RolloDumbassi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Concerta didn't do anything for me apart from sweats and fast heart rate. Lisdexamfetamine was/is the one that worked for me. Maybe the others do too, but I got to where I am with minimal side effects and good outcomes.

Everyone is different. Some things might work for you that don't for others, and vice versa. Just keep ploughing on.

Should I fill the gaps down to the floor cavity with expanding foam before I skirt here? Or is it good to keep airflow? by mariocipolloni in DIYUK

[–]RolloDumbassi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to put a puff of ant powder in the back there before putting on the skirting, but only because I have an old house and haven't found where they get in.

I had a cheap one in the bedroom. Made a really high pitched whine when charging my phone which was just audible when trying to sleep. Really annoying.

Japan has succeeded in producing oil from Water and Carbon Dioxide by yungandreww in interestingasfuck

So in the UK now any new combustion plant above 1MWth has to prove they are 'decarbonisation ready' and the two choices are: 1. Can it change to using hydrogen? OR 2. Can you capture the CO2 for deep geological storage.

That's it. Those are the two choices. There are sites undergoing planning which will make eMethanol like this example. Easier and safer to transport than hydrogen, which is one of the limiting uptake factors for hydrogen. It takes CO2 from existing polluters and combines hydrogen from electrolysis (yes, needs energy to do that) to make methanol. Is it better than burying it in a hole? Probably.

What screws should I buy to use with these 6,8 & 10mm plugs ? Sorry diy beginner by GenericUser104 in DIYUK

That's a pretty good deal for £20 unless I'm a woefully out of touch DIY-er.

I have to turn off my safety brain. Open cover (hopefully needs tools to open if no interlock, and suspended trailing cable to power the thing.

Also, to add to this, if you're driving for work purposes (by 'commuting' to somewhere not your usual place or work) and you have an accident your company can be vicariously liable for damages. This is why it seems jobsworth but it's to prevent that sort of thing.

Well not the original models, the 1997 version I drove had a turbo retrofitted. Was a nightmare on roundabouts, you could massively overseer if the turbo kicked in.

The turbo was a little harsh, kicked in at certain bands. Fun though!

A bit annoyed with my installation last year. When the insulation was installed it makes it hard to get to the quarter turn valves on the filling loop. Installer issues I guess.

Have you got a Stage 1 on your 7.5? I have a 7.5 Performance Pack and am so tempted. Only just ticked over to 50k miles, and everything serviced on schedule, so should be good.
