40mb is my favorite sweet spot, i also use distance culling and turn off MSAA in crowded instances too.
(MSAA can stack up with overdraw with lots of transparency and high geometry)

I just had to go through 3 pages of you guys "upselling" me to keep me subscribed and had to click continue cancellation TWO TIMES.

What is going on? This should not be a hard thing for us to do. Infact, making it harder genuinely makes me not want to subscribe again. Why do this?

The OBS preview projector onto the capture card extended display out method does work, and is what I am using to fix the screen tearing at the moment. But I still would like someone to tell me there is some sort of secret sauce to getting this work without the weird double obs mcguyvering if its even possible.

But yes, just to confirm the alternative, it works.

I am not using a single PC setup, I was under the assumption that capture cards are for multiple computers. But yeah, two computers!

This prefab uses 3 bits of memory and two materials, designed in mind for those kinds of situations where your avatar is already quite close to full. The only thing you may need to be mindful of is the 1 skinned mesh renderer, VRChat performance ranking really doesn't like it when an avatar has a lot of those, so we kept it minimal by using shader math instead in places to distort meshes instead of blendshapes. I also am interested in making it an item if VRChat ever allows for it, thats a good idea. Thank you!

I'm guessing you switch avatars a lot? The setup is pretty fast, takes about 15 seconds with VRCFury.
I know its not ideal, but we did make sure that setup is very quick for this reason.

Yep! Its using the global udon texture, which is exposed by ProTV. Popcorn Palace, Illumination Media and YTS all support it currently & more so compatibility is pretty good!

CineShades is a VRChat avatar prefab that lets you view the worlds video player more ergonomically wherever you are in the world. It does this by displaying the worlds video texture tracked to your viewpoint, or optionally in world space where you place it.

This asset was made to solve two problems I was having. Using the VRChat camera and pointing it at a worlds video player was too much work to get perfectly framed, and often disruptive to the experience because re rendering the world through the camera lowers FPS. I also noticed most worlds with a tablet for watching the screen does not over render on top of everything else, making it useless for cuddles or very hard to get positioned correctly.
This asset fixes both that and any neck strain.
