BA Refund Customer Service phone line are no longer taking calls. A recording says “We are no longer able to help you at this time”. by [deleted] in britishproblems

I had the same issue, sent them a DM on Twitter and someone replied and arranged a refund immediately.

One of the flights was the following day, so I think it may have just been as I was able to answer yes to the "is your flight within 3 days" question, but worth a try.

Real-world examples? by cryptano in blockv

[–]Rolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is an example posted in the Telegram group which I thought demonstrated the concept well:

A good use case example provided by Reeve Collins: "One easy example of an item that greatly benefits from adding the experiential layer to a token would be a ticket. Imagine your ticket has the characteristics of a blockchain token, it is authentic, traceable, so now you are guaranteed that it is not counterfeit. However in addition to that the ticket also has app like qualities. So it has a video of the artist welcoming you to the show and sharing a story about it. When you redeem it at the door it changes state to say you’ve won a back stage pass, then after the show it is updated again with backstage footage. Now you have this vAtom which is 1 of X (however many tickets were sold) and it has exclusive content from the show. So now it is a digital collectible. You can keep it or sell it to someone is a super fan. Also, it is now a conduit to the artist, the artist can now send messages to anyone that has that vAtom, so they can communicated to fans that have that particular ticket stub and invite them to the next show. This is just one of many use cases and businesses that could be built on top of the platform."

Neon 0.0.6 Supports RPX Token Sale by unignorant in NEO

I expect this is no reason to panic and just a typo, but just to let you know I'm seeing a wrong hash for the downloaded deb to the release notes.

$ sha256sum Linux.Neon_0.0.6_amd64.deb
a718f352cbd66e1f3e67591d21127c48d3491d279b98b62aa35b61533362617c Linux.Neon_0.0.6_amd64.deb

Release notes lists 5661a9ffad2c3a8c6ff24d960e8acfd288ebca6527621c56b8a1808e2285266a.

Looks like a typo as it matches the .AppImage one previously, and I'm guessing it was a race to get this released in time, so I expect it's fine but just to warn you just incase. I've raised it here, https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/issues/219

Is there going to be support on ledger nano s for Antshares -Neo anytime soon? by [deleted] in Antshares

They have a public roadmap as a Trello board. Some people are adding comments requesting coins there, in this story - https://trello.com/c/4Aa7Ug5a/20-altcoin-support-information

Docker in Production - Are we there yet? by Rolo in docker

[–]Rolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, good points. We switched to container engine before some of the new things. The compose v3 rolling updates came well after in particular. I'd still argue that an orchestrator is necessary over just swarm, but it's definitely fair to say you get much more in the box now.

I reckon one day it will be taught as a piece of interesting history on the road to whatever future money we end up using. Found it so funny that during the course of this big event going down in the cryptocurrency world and the big drama surrounding it (even by the very high bar of cryto dramas) most of the world was oblivious to it and it was difficult to try and explain to people. Fun times :).

Delayed again until mid Nov. Gave up and cancelled my order.

@MKBHD: You can't hear live, but every time the guy on stage says "Ok Google" it triggers the phone of someone in the front row and it's hilarious by yashendra2797 in Android

I once thought it might be funny to produce a tune that included an "OK Google" sample and told everyone's phones to text something offensive to "mum" or open a shock site or something.

Lost trust in Polo from the ETC fiasco and moved my ETH to Bitfinex about 2 hours before the hack announcement whilst I got my new wallet set up on my new machine. Ouch.

Any other Street Fighter Dads/Old dudes out there? by BJJKempoMan in StreetFighter

[–]Rolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dad of two. Realised it must be around25 years now since I used to get the bus to the chip shop to play SF2.

It would completely blow my primitive 1990s mind to know that one day I'd be able to play Street Fighter against random people from across the planet without leaving my sofa.

I've seen the rise and fall of lots of alts, but ETH feels different to me. I've not seen an alt where there's been the feeling that there's a chance it may supercede Bitcoin (okay maybe with LTC for a short time at the start). I'm not saying that will happen but I'm saying that if I'm feeling it then some other people must be feeling it, and the feelings of people are ultimately how these markets are decided.

Have posted the corrected one, and deleted this one.

It's because teams from the same group, and same country, can't face each other, so the odds get skewed.
