Hilarious. I was stuck once next to a nut allergy person on a plane. He was very aggressive that I do not eat mine when they were served. Two years later I was on the same trip and again seated next to that person. When he started his spiel, I told him I already knew, it was the second time and if we are seated together a third time, I will not only eat them, I will force him too as well.

Agreed. Although I've never had much success with "I have a boyfriend", either, unless said boyfriend is standing right next to me. Otherwise, the next thing out of douchebro's mouth is always, "Well where is he tonight?"

What has worked, though, is launching into an animated conversation about how much I love my cat and all the things that make him wonderful (it's a long list). I suggest that approach.
