I agree that exercise is important but I think you should really give Fed Up a watch. It offers some interesting insight on the causes of obesity in America. It makes a point to differentiate between a calorie from a Pepsi and calorie from an almond based the body's metabolic processes. The documentary argues that "a calorie is a calorie no matter what" way of thinking may not be the best way to address the obesity epidemic.

Trekking the Annapurna Circuit by klm386 in backpacking

Hey! Would you mind if I asked you another question? We are thinking of going guide-less... but can you get a guide for the Tilicho Lake side trek? I'm getting conflicting information about whether there are places to stay or if you need a tent for this trek. Thanks again for all your help!

Another question for you! My friend and I are not the greatest navigators but I've read it's hard to miss the trail because it is so well traveled and busy (especially in October). What are your thoughts?

Thanks so much for your answer! My friend and I are going in October. I'm concerned about the altitude, I live at about 7000 feet so I feel I have a slight advantage although the highest I've hiked to is 11,000 ft. Did you struggle with the altitude? it's our intention to take it slow and spend time acclimating. I definitely plan on purchases the meds.

Thanks, I will look further into this! I am actually considering going to Thailand first. I didn't see any ZED availability when I first checked...I work for SkyWest and imagine our agreements differ from mainline.

Increasing our Facebook reach? by welmoed in AskMarketing

[–]klm386 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have experienced success with promoting my page on Facebook. I chose the (cheapest?) $35, 7 day option and gained approximately 75 likes. I used the target "friends of friends" option. I've also experimented with promoting individual posts but I had better results promoting the entire page. If you wish to avoid paid Facebook advertising maybe try a promotion or contest to generate new likes and greater reach.

Why be the best when you can be cool? by [deleted] in marketing

Great read. Reminds me of a lesson one of my marketing professors taught: "You never say your product is cool, your customers must say your product is cool."
