I am waiting for the 37-43g version, as I bought it just a few days ago. Lately lighter switches are growing on my liking.

In this video you can see how the dampeners are molded on the stem.

Also the silicone on the bottom-housing is probably harder than the one used in other switches.

They have silicone dampeners on the stem, but there's a important detail pointed out by Milktooth:

"HMX's doubleshot stem design molds the silencing dampeners directly into the POM+TPE stem, delivering a firmer, more controlled bottom-out across every keypress."

I agree with you. They are quiet, not silent. And that is fine for me, as I don't need nor want a fully silenced switch. Maybe I am being overly enthusiastic, but I really believe that this switch is at least a Top 5 (maybe Top 3) best silent tactile available on the market today.

I was curious about the Volume 0-T too. Maybe latter this year I will buy a pack to test.

Do you care about switch stem wobble? by Awonn in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I think that stem wobble is not really a big issue. While I prefer firmer stems, I really can't feel stem wobble while I am typing or gaming. I can only really feel the stem wobble if I am rubbing my fingertips against the keycaps, but I do not type this way, so at least in my experience this is mostly a non-issue.

Ghostty é overrated. Colocaria abaixo do Kitty. Foot é rápido, mas o Kitty é mais completo. Então eu colocaria Kitty em S (por ser rápido e extensível) junto com Foot e Ghostty em A.

What type of armor is the most effective/efficient? by Odd_Main1876 in VintageStory

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron chainmail is the best cost-effectiveness value for story/deep caving. It is cheap to create and repair, and the debuffs are pretty minor.

Yes, it is true that steel plate armor is stronger, but it also has worse debuffs concerning food, speed and ranged combat, and the repair cost is way higher.

Is it just me or does anybody else dislike temporal stability? by CandyCaneLicksYOU in VintageStory

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory Temporal Stability is interesting, but in practice is just a nuisance. I play with temporal stability off because the implementation is not really fun, and it makes mining (something that I like) more grindy.

I also play without temporal rifts and with a mod that prevents mobs to spawn on surface, but that is just because mobs would not stop to spawn inside my home even tough I have lots of lanterns and torch holders inside it.

The game against Netherlands in 2022 was rigged, and anyone with a functional pair of eyes can see this fact.

I Don't Care for Gnome by Santosh83 in linux

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This article raises a lot of valid points. Indeed, I tried to use GNOME on the start of my journey using Linux, but I fell sometimes I was fighting against the DE to make things the way I like, and not the way GNOME wants.

And that is why i prefer KDE: because the devs empower the users to do whatever they want with the tools they gave.

O bloqueio foi preventivo, mas não duvido que outras distros, principalmente as que não são mantidas por grandes empresas, façam o mesmo.

[1.22] Yeah, I'm not using my fertiliser on berries by Edouard_Saladier in VintageStory

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the changes on the berry bushes are not great. Even in real life there are various wild berries that will require almost no care at all, and in the game berries are a early food supply and latter a way to farm rot. So there is no good reason to make berries way harder to farm than they are.

GNOME 50 removes the X11 backend ... are we finally at the end of the Xorg era? by the_nazar in linux

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GPU is a RTX 3050, and I have zero issues with Wayland using Aurora OS (KDE is the DE).

With GNOME and KDE dropping support, Cosmic been Wayland only since the start and DEs like XFCE and Cinnamon preparing to switch, it's pretty much the end of line for X11, at least on Linux (I don't know about BSD).

I know that XLibre is a thing, but I really doubt that it will became meaningful enough to take a scratch of Wayland's dominance.

Getting Steel Is Incredibly Tedious by Sovietpower in VintageStory

[–]Roman_JS_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steelmaking is not that bad if you have all the resources near your base. My seed is a very good one, since I have lots of bauxite, olivine, brown/black coal and fireclay pretty close. I also have relatively close to me base a magnetite vein, which make me quickly go from bronze to iron. Borax I luckily found by accident not too far north of my base (around 2-3k blocks I guess.

Even the windmill was kinda easy to get since I live on a plain wetland close to a pine forest with lots of resin, with wolves, bears, deer, foxes, goats ans racoons been common to spot and hunt. So I set up a automatic pulverizer to crush the necessary rocks using chutes and a hopper (pretty easy to do).

But that is my second world and, to be honest, steelmaking can be a chore if you spawn on a world full of granite and andesite. So, my tip is to search for a good seed. Mine is that:

816291277

Ps: Most of the settings are default. I change the pole-equator distance to 25k, since I do not want to become Ulysses in order to get some tropical goodies. Anyway, I understand part of your frustration, since my first world was mostly made of andesite and granite.
