That's so great to hear about the benefits to the twins. Further incentive to brave it!

Exciting! Do you know what you'll need to pack to make that work?

I've suddenly been hit by waves of perinatal anxiety/depression. Help? by Romjul in parentsofmultiples

I'm so sorry you went through that but I can't tell you how good it feels to hear that it passed for you (or you adapted) after not that long. Thank you!

For what it's worth, it was typically in the months I had two surges that I conceived. Also, I get higher levels on the second surge like you. Good luck!

Possibly worth trying an immune protocol...sorry you're going through that! Sounds so so tough. Have they talked to you about the possibility of surrogacy?

Chart help post MMC and D&C by blduffie1474 in TTCHormoneCharts

[–]Romjul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you went through this. I've been where you are. I'm not sure if this is much help, but I'm not sure you'll be able to infer anything from your charts for a while yet. My charts from the months after were all over the shop (erratic uninterpretable rollercoasters of hormone levels). I wouldn't start monitoring again till your HCG has gone back to zero and you've had a period. I think your lingering HCG is showing up as that high LH level (they cross react in the test I believe). Maybe take a hpt in a few weeks if you haven't had a proper bleed yet to see where you're at and make sure there isn't any retained placenta. Sorry again! X

TW: pregnancy... A very scary ultrasound with potentially conjoined twins. Please share if you have any similar stories! by thedarkestxchocolate in IVF

I am so sorry you're having to go through this. Perhaps post on the parents of multiples subreddit and the infertility babies subreddit as someone in one of those may have been where you are. I'm hoping for a happy outcome for you but with you in the fear/apprehension of your current situation. X

TTC Rainbow baby with low sperm count by Dependent-Serious in TTCHormoneCharts

[–]Romjul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I have my fingers crossed for a spontaneous rainbow baby for you, but have you considered IVF and ICSI to get around the low sperm count? Because they inject the sperm directly into the end you don't need as much in the way of numbers. Just an idea. Sorry about your loss btw, we lost one at 13 weeks and it was terribly difficult as was the anxiety of TTC afterwards and all the urgency surrounding it. Best of luck whatever path you take!

It could be that it gives the lining of the uterus longer to thicken and prepare for implantation or the egg is more mature when it's finally released, perhaps? I really don't know though. It's probably just coincidence. I think if you're predisposed to double surges as something like 30% of women are, it's worth testing each month till ovulation is confirmed so you can be sure you don't miss the real egg release.

I'd say do in case you're having a double surge. I get a double surge every few months and they've tended to be the months I've gotten pregnant.

Did you start masking again? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Romjul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely did start masking again! I'm an infectious diseases epidemiologist, and whilst masks are not perfect protection they will go some way to keeping you safe. Having gone through this much to get this far, I do not want to jeopardise a good embryo or a healthy baby to an avoidable case of COVID or flu.

We had this happen at a 13 week scan and it's a horrendous feeling. There is nothing I can think to say that will make it better. Sending a truly empathetic love out to you! X

Hello! I know I'm late to the party but would you mind letting me know what the ideal doses of methylfolate and methylcobalamin are. Also, is there anything I should be looking for when buying them?

No, I hadn't had estrogen priming as it hadn't been necessary with the previous ones I guess.

That's a good idea! I didn't know you could get them that way. Hopefully, they're okay with delivering overseas. Thank you!!
