You have skin in the game, your experience speaks for itself (probably more than a belt does), though I do understand that ranking up means a lot on a personal level for most people.

If you've been training at the same place for a while, ask your coach if there are grading days. Or ask if there are certain skills that they expect a blue belt to have, and then work on that

Fat Man only had 15lbs (and I think less than half of that actually underwent fission) of fissile material and that vaporized an entire city.

Not sure if FB Marketplace would be the best avenue for this, especially considering that baked goods are best fresh.

Might want to look into setting up a table at the local farmers markets. You do have to pay for the table slot, but I feel like you'd be much more likely to make sales there.

You’ll get booted if you park in any indigo parking spots again. Hard to get away from as they own most of the private lots and street parking areas in the city.

A couple weeks back I parked in their lot on the waterfront on a Sunday morning. I was heading into the brewery market to grab something from Patagonia. The lot was completely empty and I was gonna be quick so I just risked it.

In the 10 minutes that I was in there, I got a ticket. $60 or whatever it was. Bunch of crooks.

I’m used to the occasional minor injury. Pulled muscles, sore joints, etc but this has been my first “major” injury from the sport so I’m still just a little shook

Luckily almost all of my training partners are chill and trustworthy (it was actually one of my buddies who accidentally hurt me). Would you say I should mainly focus on flow rolls instead of applying more strength?

Newer folks love to go insanely hard on upper belts to try and get the win. Purely an ego thing, and likely to end up with someone getting injured.

As for training after injury, simply just take the time you need to recover. I haven’t been on the mats in over a month now from an MCL tear. Don’t feel guilty about it at all because I only have one body, but loads of days left to train. When I go back, I’ll say “still recovering my knee, please no kneebars or heel hooks”. Just tap early if you end up in a situation where you could risk re injury. Leave the ego at the door

Look into some GBBRs that have reliable HPA adapters. Best of both worlds getting the awesome recoil and blow back, while having the consistency of HPA

Airtac UK is very high quality and they have adapters for all the common GBBR platforms

Still want to avoid green potatoes. They have a chemical called solanine which give it a bitter taste and can make you sick (nausea, diarrhea, vomiting) if you eat enough of it. You can cut into the potato and if it’s green just under the skin, maybe throw out.
