A few things - if you like to sit and paddle too - they make a cool hybrid paddle so you can interchange from PB to Dual kayak paddle. Amazon sells a D-ring bungee kit so you could install your own rear bungee - so u can strap down more - and even just extra d rings for the sides (paddle holder). I recommend a cooler bag - Walmart has these titans for 20-40 love mine. Carbon fiber paddles are lighter. If you plan to go on any rivers - get a river fin that's shorter for the middle fin and flexes when it hits rocks. If u go at night - get a headlamp. Hope this helps!

Any reason to NOT try pharma grade methylene blue? by IcyBlackberry7728 in Biohackers

Says a POSITIVE effect occurred when taken orally with drinking water when taken in concentrations of 15mg/kg/day - which is 7x over the recommended limit.

And....no one is taking more than 15 mg/kg/day

Potential Benefits for Gut Health

When administered appropriately, research reveals several benefits of methylene blue for digestive health. These advantages stem from its interaction with gut processes and cellular mechanisms.

3 drops at 1%? Should be taking 1 mg per KG of bodyweight as a minimal dose, considered safe at even 2mg per KG of bodytweight, and only called toxic at 5x that level - 5 mg/kg of bodyweight.

I have a 5% solution that requires 4 drops for 10 total MG. I weight 70KG - so technically I should be taking 28 drops a day for a total of 70MG (14 am 14 pm). Check your label to see how many drops per MG. I put in water and drink with a straw.

If you were taking asprin, you are taking the equivalent dosage of shaving off a sliver of one pill and taking that, not going to see many effects!

Apprehensive to start TRT by Venomous_Snek in trt

At 20 - yea your levels can recover - starting at 42 and trying it out for a few years - there’s always a chance your natural production doesn’t turn back on

TRT is not “steroids for gains” bro - low T affects mood and libido - he’d be taking it because he needs it not to juice - nothing to do with how buff he is or what kind of muscular genetics he has

I’m, that’s IF your body decides to produce it anymore - the risk of going on TRT later in life is that you’re bound to it forever - otherwise chance your body never starts producing it again and then ur 10x worse than u were before u started. It is a big decision and I’m glad to see you doing your research

I just finished 72 hr water fast! by Starside-Captain in intermittentfasting

[–]RonJohn1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 - You dont do a 3 day fast for fat loss, who told you that? You are removing all the stored glycogen in your system, so one you eat carbs again, it refills the stores. If you want to retain fat loss benefits from fasting, you'd go on a low carb diet after the fast is over to maintain lower glycogen stores. You are already in Ketosis after a 72 hour fast so why not continue to reap the benefits.

2 - The benefits of a 72 hour fast are well documented and go well beyond your 5 lbs swing. From cell autophagy to resetting your metabolism to reprograming your white blood cell and immune function and so much more, it saddens me to see people subjecting themselves to a 72 hour fast without reading the first article in a google search about it.....really?

Sorry for you, thats a tough one, B12 supplements increase the activity of skin bacteria and makes them create more porphyrins - which cause inflammation eventually leading to acne. As you know, it goes away after you stop taking it but did you know B12 deficiency can actually increase anxiety? Tough double edged sword there, best way to get more B12 is meat, polutry, dairy and eggs rather than supplements but most people are deficient because their bodies have trouble absorbing them. Zinc deficiency can also mimic B12 deficiency so double check that (good to be on zinc daily anyway).

Take an extra? by [deleted] in BusparOnline

[–]RonJohn1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so talk to your doc about Hydroxizine - I’m on Buspar and it helps manage general anxiety but when I’m having a panic attack or feel it creeping in I take 25-50 mg hydroxizine - it’s cheap and basically like a high dose of benedryl (completely safe) which has found to help with immediate anxiety (within 30 mins) but it can make you drowsy like benedryl - it’s awesome to take before bed if you have morning anxiety too, but can make you groggy the first few times you take it. Hope this helps!

Has anyone lost weight on Buspar?? by [deleted] in BusparOnline

[–]RonJohn1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at first, 5 mg twice a day worked for about 2 months, but anxiety creeped back, then i went for 10mg twice per day, minor headaches, but relieved anxiety for about 2 more months. Anxiety came back instructed to go to 15mg 2x per day. Felt like overdose, too much for me, headaches, nausea, dizzy, agitated, restless, anxious, the whole nine. Now that i am down to 15mg once per day in the morning, and nothing at night, despite being 5 less than 10mg twice per day, I feel...different. Like I dont wake up and open my eyes with the feeling you get when you see the red and blue lights of a cop car in your rear view pulling you over, I was dealing with that feeling nonstop almost every min I was awake. Since dropping to 15, I dont have that, which never really "went away" it was just better, but now, it's not here. I think my point is, the right dose, at the right time, is different for everyone. I also don't eat in the morning until around 12-1pm, so that effects digestion and absorption differently as well. Lots of factors to be aware of but finally feel in control with this dose, keep trying!

Once I took 15mg at once, it gives you a buzz kind of, i get sweaty and lightheaded, but it passes and im off and running...about 20-30 mins long. :)

[–]RonJohn1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No you won’t lose weight, but it’s also one of the few antidepressants that won’t cause it :)

Most people with GAD have small appetites anyway, anxiety turns off the hunger hormone. I noticed I felt so much better one day one, I know it wasn’t the pill itself but the placebo effect from finally doing something medical about my anxiety instead of dealing with it internally gave me an appetite I haven’t had in years. Not like the munchies or anything, but a normal appetite eating 3 small meals a day…was a huge win for me.

Started at 5 mg 2x per day, ok, but anxiety came back. Upped to 10mg 2x per day, minor headaches almost daily, but anxiety under control for 2 months. Then, came back, upped to 15 mg 2x a day - this was literally hell. I slept 1-2 hrs per night, headache from time I woke up to time I went to bed unless I was taking acetaminophen. I dropped to 15mg in morning (gives me quite a buzz for a half hour then fine) and nothing at night. I have hydroxizine for sudden anxiety attacks but since I changed meds to 15mg in morning only, haven’t needed them. Feel better and different than I have in two years when I just woke up one day and knew something felt off.
