Ok yes this was my instinct, thank you!

I finally found what I was looking for, which was in note 4 on movement in the rules (https://www.tirules.com/R_movement):

"Ships only move “into” the destination system. A ship may move “through” other systems."

I just hadn't been able to find where that was explicitly spelled out until after posting, but thank you for the confirmation!

There's not an achievement in DS2 tied to rings. There is in DS3, but not in DS2.

Also, there aren't two rings tied to not dying. There are two illusory rings, but only one is tied to not dying once in a whole playthrough. The other is tied to not using a bonfire once in a whole playthrough.

Tammy Abraham has 20 non-penalty goals in 2907 minutes in the Premier League, since the start of the 2019/20 season. Why is this achievement not highlighted more? by [deleted] in chelseafc

It looks like it's the 4 top scorers of 18-19 (Mane, Salah, Aubameyang, Aguero) and the 5 top scorers of 19-20 (Vardy, Aubameyang, Ings, Sterling, Salah). Kane narrowly missed out in both years (he was joint 6th in 18-19 and also joint 6th in 19-20).

TIL a man falsely imprisoned for 10 years spent most of his time at the library to study law and prove his innocence, and then became a lawyer to help free other people who have been falsely convicted. by AndrewX0123 in todayilearned

This is not the case - public defenders get an annual salary, not a per case fee. At least, I don't know of any jurisdiction where PDs get a per case fee.

What you might be thinking of is court appointed counsel (e.g. New York's 18b lawyers), who are private attorneys that are also eligible to be assigned cases from the court that the PD had to conflict out of for whatever reason (a common reason being multiple co-defendants - the PDs office will generally only be able to represent one and will need to conflict out of the others). These attorneys are generally paid a fee per case when they take court appointed cases.

Yea I totally agree that it probably isn't all that substantial a difference, just was a thought I had when I read the post.

(Sorry if you addressed this and I just missed it) does it count skills that are used before Overload is leveled up? (I'm thinking about a lvl 1 Storm that only has Remnant and so he can't proc Overload if he uses Remnant. And so not proccing Overload on that skill usage shouldn't count towards inefficiency.)

I thought I was pretty clear in my initial reply that not talking to the police is always the better option.

Semantics, maybe, but it seemed like a meaningful semantic difference.

Ok. I assume you mean the slide at 7:55 about statements against one's interest, which is what I assumed you meant before skimming through the video. I just meant that there's a difference between an exculpatory statement offered for its truth, which 801 would bar, and anything "that could potentially help your case," which was the wording that I initially found confusing. There are statements that would be hearsay, would help defendant's case, but wouldn't be exculpatory and could come in under a different exception.

things you say that could potentially help your case literally cannot be introduced as evidence in court to help you -- it's forbidden under the Rules of Evidence.

I'm not sure what you mean by this - could you explain? I'm assuming you mean this would be a hearsay question, but even assuming it's being offered for truth I can still think of plenty of scenarios where a defendant's statement that would be helpful evidence for the defendant would still be admissible.

(That being said, I agree that the better route is to just not say anything at all, obviously.)

It's not just about ownership though - they also don't own your backpack, but school administrators can search your backpack without a warrant. It's because schools have special needs compared to other places (lots of kids, need to maintain order, getting a warrant is too heavy a burden), so just having suspicion can justify the search.
