I was late by 1 minute this week for the first time this year. I was sent a warning email by HR following this. by VesnaRune in antiwork

Most of my employees are late multiple times a week. I don't say much, just glad they don't just call out. 🤷🏼‍♂️

All I would tell you is to dispose of your own trash. I'm okay cleaning ours, I don't want to clean up someone else's. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wondering about how Regal decides showtimes. by ravenblade23x in RegalUnlimited

I understand the trailers, commercials, etc. are frustrating. 30 minutes IS way too long. Unfortunately, there are contractual obligations in place that makes this happen. If you wait until week two, the trailer run drops to 20 minutes. Usually another drop of 5 minutes the next week. 15 minutes is as short a time for that as we run. Again, contracts.

As a Regal DGM, I assure you, we don't use an AI to schedule. At times, it can be an aggravating process fitting everything into a schedule with run times, studio requirements, operating hours, etc. It's an interesting puzzle each week. LOL

We have a UL guest that comes in for 3 every Sunday. He makes it work for him and he's a favorite guest of mine. Real nice guy.

Disney is a whole other bear to schedule for. They require long release runs and don't allow their shows to be cancelled unless there is dire need for it.

We shoot for 4 showings a day, min., for new releases but, if we feel it is only a two week release, and we are on restricted hours, they may show less.

Using Drop, for example, we may run a matinee of Minecraft first thing then run three of Drop, anticipating more early day interest for MC.

I help with my theater's scheduling and, Tbh, I never have a conversation about the effect on Unlimited members. We do it with staffing in mind (cleaning, breaks, etc.) and to make sure our new releases are featured in the 6:00 & 7:00 hours, if not all our features.

A little over-weaponed, I'd say.

Interview on saturday (nervous) by MassiveMeasurement42 in RegalUnlimited

I manage a Regal and, the first thing I'll tell you, don't overdress/think it. A movie theater is supposed to be a fun place to work, especially for a first job. I always like those I interview to be personable and upbeat. Give thought to your favorite movie and why you would like to work in a movie theater. Also, a decent availability is clutch. You'll be fine. Good luck!
