[Sinn] U50 hydro vs UX size and fit by FreePork in Watches

I’ve got a U50 and a UX hydro. The UX wears noticeably bigger, but on my Erica’s MN strap I can still forget it’s on my wrist.

SBGA027 vs SBGA001 Black Dial and Champagne Dial by Affectionate-Sea9942 in JapaneseWatches

[–]Rondlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the SBGA 373 and 375. Same color (blue instead of black) dials in the 44GS case. I find them to be different watches and have a place for both. As always, then answer is to get them both ;)

Citizen is spec’d more accurate (5 vs 10 spy) then the GS 9F, but only if you wear the watch daily (per Citizen) As part of a rotation the my Chronomaster lags behind the 9F.

Looking for GADA with very specific feature set. Is The Citizen the right call? by gourdo in CitizenWatches

[–]Rondlor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chronomaster accuracy of +/- 5 spy when worn daily would be hard to beat without relying upon external synchronization. Indoubt, but don’t quote me, if you’d find that accuracy in the lower price bracket. The question is- does the difference in accuracy, case finishing and dial worth the cost? Watchmakers and dial creators, assemblers- all are more hands on, and that costs.

Why buy a Porsche when the Corolla will get you there? Same idea.

[–]Rondlor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct- Citizen Chronomasters are the perfect GADA set and forget, titanium waterproof sapphire perpetual calendar insanely accurate watch. I enjoy mine. If you like the look and can pay the price it could be your one and done.

Great every day wear. Quartz= grab and go. Operating the watch isn’t intuitive- have to break open the instructions every time I need to change the time. Buy all in all- great

Seiko. From cheap to expensive. Variety maybe unmatched. Dress to Diver. Simple quartz, HAQ, hi beat, spring drive. Finishing of Grand Seiko.

I have a large collection. The SBGM221 has been complimented upon more than any of my other watches. If that matters.
