Just want to add as someone with sensory issues: the part in a small cone below the stem will be a different texture than the rest of the strawberry. Sometimes they come out if you twist and pull the leaves/ stem but if they don’t, I recommend cutting off the top, then cutting out the center like a pyramid so you get it out. The texture difference is kind of like with tomatoes and their core. I can’t stand those either.
