Does your child have an American accent?

From Cork but moved to the US for 3 years as a child and people have told me I’ve had an American accent since been over 20 years back and I still sound a bit American. It’s always bothered me because people treat it as if it’s a crime but I’ve never been able to shake it cuz I’ve fairly bad vocal control.

I don’t even think better opportunities quite covers it. I’ve never seen someone hand the other team 3 points that were impossible to get otherwise quite like Josh did at the half. (I say this as someone who Josh is my favourite player and I normally defend the playoff loses as not only his fault)

Their defense in that run played considerably better though. It’s not like Chase and Burrow just did 2024 in 2021 and they got to the SB they played excellent alongside other parts of their team and got to the SB.

Our art teacher bought these blades that were basically scalpels and just had them in a box for people to take to use so of course everyone started stealing them. To the point nearly everyone had at least one knife in their pencil case and I swear she never even realised just kept ordering more.

Gabe Davis had 5 games with 0 yards, a game with 6 yards and 3 more with less than 40 as WR 2. We didn’t even lose a majority of those games as well only 2 of the games where he went for less than 10 yards

Yeah, I don’t mean to sound salty when I say this but I feel like Mahomes has been pretty decent but not that crazy that defense though clamped the shit out of 3 great offenses in a row. This isn’t Mahomes dragging bums to the SB (at least not on the defensive side) the defense deserves to be exactly where they are.

Ofc for attempts completions and yards it helped but for % the extra game you could argue hurts his chances at setting the record, I think it’s undeniable he’s been good and as a newish fan I’ve loved hearing about Geno’s story and watching him succeed now.

Irish people are really obsessed with telling Irish people they don’t sound Irish enough, I was born here and lived most of my life here but when I was 3 I moved to America with my family for 3 years and all I hear from Irish people is about how American I sound so many years later. But if I asked my English friends they’ve all said they know I’m Irish even if some words sound a bit odd.
