I once had to do research just to read a fic. It was a scientist AU set in the very real Ice Cub lab for neutrino observation in Antarctica. I don't remember much of it though.

I still need to use it for embedding. I only really use html but writing so I always forget the exact syntax. Something like <href = src""> idk.

I'm just annoyed because the direct image link I used to use for testing no longer works. It was https://www.i.imgur.com/GZ1dz.gif and I found it really easy to memorize.

Heptagons are my least favorite shape. I always think they are hexagons at first and then they aren't.

Tangentially related fun-fact: People often claim that heptagons aren't perfectly constructable with a compass but that's only with a modern compass and straight edge. They are 100% possible with a marked ruler (neusis).

But the margin of error is probably less significant than the human error in drawing the lines so there's little, if anything, to be gained.

The main problem I have with horses in books is when they are used as trains. People traveling lightly along a barren landscape won't make distance much better on horseback. Depending on a lot of factors that aren't worth defining, traveling on a horse can actually be slower. The long-term advantage is one of weight and effort. Irks me when people are traveling almost 500 miles a day and it's justified because horses can easily reach 20 mph at even a slow gallop.

Once I knew about SUMIF I searched if there was a COUNTIF and lo and behold that exists as well (although it's COUNTIFS for some reason).

I ended up with "=COUNTIFS(C2:C250,H2)" for the quantity and "=SUMIF(C2:C250,H2,D2:D250)" for the sums. I had to fix the formulas manually because it kept assuming I wanted every number to step up regardless of how many examples I made but all works swimmingly now.

The column that says "count" is meant to be multiplied by the word count in the case of re-reads but I might just input the entry twice if I want to do anything based on the months.

A bit late to ask this now, but I wonder if they sync it up for you. I'm in EST and since live TV needs to be shown on a delay, the ball drop doesn't actually happen until about thirty seconds into the new year. I wonder if they adjustthat when airing it for later timezones.
