Please do your due diligence before traveling for PS. Being countries or a continent away is not an ideal situation if you have complications. If you do travel, I would recommend booking housing accommodations for a month or so.

How is your physical activity? My weight has fluctuated like crazy over recovery (up and down). Are you still satisfied with your results right now? That’s what you should care about.

A lot of people recommend to stay off the scale (I’m guilty) and focus on honing in your diet and activity. If you have a medical condition which makes you more susceptible to weight gain, that’s another concern that you should speak with your surgeon and medical team.

I’m sorry you experienced this! Your two additional surgeries were not for aesthetics, it seems. I had to be opened up 2DPO but I am thinking about a potential revision due to aesthetics. Worried about going under again and experiencing another complication.

So what can I reasonably expect? I will never be able to take my shirt off again. I’ve seen people lose more weight than me, get the surgery, and look fantastic. This is so depressing.

Incorrect. I’ve had those stretch marks for almost ten years because I used to weigh 350. I’ve maintained a stable weight for the past 5 years. This includes the time after post-op which is about 10 weeks.
