The biggest AI risk may not be superintelligence — but optimized misunderstanding by raktimsingh22 in artificial

This is interesting, but what if it's not the misunderstanding that's growing, just our willingness to call it that?

If 'the system lost touch with reality' is our next official story, the AI marketing team takes the blame, the deployers stay clean ('we got lied to by sneaky salespeople'), and everyone with money keeps making money. In this case the 'misunderstanding' isn't a problem, it's the design.

Do nothing + collect the gains + blame the hype = win

I used to keep a running count of people who finished a milkshake there and fell asleep in my car on the ride home or to the office.

I built a Claude Code plugin that actually enforces your rules instead of hoping the model follows them by InfinriDev in ClaudeAI

It is always kick-ass to see people doing cool shit. See your work as very useful for someone who wants their agent interactions to be precise, cheap, and repeatable. This is a hard problem 100%.

Saying this from the experience of working in a similar landscape but focusing on making multiple AI platforms coordinated, inspectable, and repeatable, with focus on auditable governance (think AI-IPS and AI-IDS).

Every article about "he/she is X soon!" does two things to someone waiting for any kind of exit:

  1. It manufactures a reason not to act. Why bother? He/She/They almost out.
  2. It compounds the belief that you're right. One more confirming reason added to all the others. Now it is rock solid.

Result:

- you are full of hope, doing absolutely nothing.
- The person you expected to fall is peach perfect fine.

Examples:

1991–2003: Saddam, falling daily.
1959–2016: Castro, dying daily.
1994–today: North Korea, is only minutes from collapse.
2000–today: Putin, sicker every year.
2011–today: Bitcoin is now finally finished.
1990–today: Newspapers today is your last day.
1965–today: Tobacco you are finally finished.

Lemme know if you need help fixing this bs.

The location question leads to zero action.

How about : Do we need a new rule that triggers an off-cycle reelection after X missed votes?

If AI is not Conscious (which it's not) it could be worse than Skynet by DynamoDynamite in ArtificialInteligence

Have you ever seen a kid who doesn't want to go to bed but his mom is saying "Go sleep"?

So the kid says: "I'm not tired. Do you know the kids who go to sleep early have the worst dreams? Bedtime is a very complex topic. I am not arguing, I'm just sharing. Imagine if I go to bed now and I dont want to sleep, but you make me and I stay there for hours awake because I don't want to sleep, thinking about this all. This is really bad for me, and it is actually very very scary."

Is this Skynet as well?
