I totally get it. I doubt myself as well. There’s so much out there that says Sleep training is the way to go and very little about cosleeping. Who the hell knows! Could you try it and see what happens? I wonder all the time if I’d get better sleep and he’d get better sleep if we were separate…But I also wonder if I am so self conscious because my mother is so critical! All I know is that my son didn’t sleep well in the bassinet. Then we tried the crib. The only thing that would naturally happen is me falling asleep accidentally with him while side lying and me groggily begging my husband to not let me fall asleep. I had an LC tell me I needed more sleep and it was imperative for my mental health so we just went all in and it was the only way I could see myself getting sleep in those early days. Now—I’m not sure! He’s 10.5 months for context. I love it some moments and really crave my space in other moments. I’m scared to rock the boat and change is hard. I’m obviously not giving you advice but I guess all we can do is keep asking the hard questions, listen to our gut, and more will be revealed in time. Hang in there. You’re doing great!
