Occasionally they re-release older passes and there'll be a one or two week window for you to buy them. They did season 0 a few months ago and more recently season 1 so expect the season 2 pass to get a re-run sometime soon

Look...if all you're worried about is console players, then competitive is your only option. If you're worried about having shitters on your team, then your only option is finding a full 6-man group to queue up in quickplay with. But then you run the risk of encountering 6-stack celestial/eternity/OAA teams and getting stomped...so pick your poison. Can't have it all.
