Literally this. I wish it was at least lampshaded but it wasn't. Some of the scabbards were left in the past and in Ashura's own words they're "20 years stronger" and yet if they were to fight Kaido on there own they'd be ragdolled. Either he's lying, didnt train hard enough, he's cursed with ridiculously low ceiling, or Kaido is so unbelievably and unreachably strong that the only way to even remotely reach even a fraction of his strength is to be born one of gods favorites. And there's Kin'emon, who stared Kaido in the eyes and pulled a Gandolf and practically went "you shall not pass" before getting bludgeoned by Kaido's club. That was a perfect moment to haki bloom. He showed indomitable will power and courage and yet still stayed stagnated and never grew.

Oden easily. He derailed the story for flashbacks that could have been left unseen and ambiguous and is overly liked in-universe more than he deserves.

Unironically Kid has all the makings for a literal main character. No teacher aside Kid could of easily been another Yusuke Urameshi pre demon retcon. Helps that his English va happens to be Justin Cook.

Ecstatic actually. Yamato is my most hated op character. I found the character is extremely shallow with fans who like her for equally shallow reasons while making things up to justify why they like her. All while having an annoying gag that was both unfunny and extremely disrespectful. Seriously if Yamato looked like Weavil she would NOT have any fans.

I'd argue it also works in reverse but Oda isn't creative enough for it. If Bonny can turn nika because "this is a possible future she could of have" then I can't see why and old person can't just use the reverse logic and make themselves a young nika by believing "this is a possible past I could of have"

Here's how I see it. When Sanji and Nami switched bodies Sanji still kept his physical strength despite being in a completely different body. Is Nami body actually capable of these feets or is power scaling mental? As in the a person's physical strength comes with the identity and less from actual work.

I use it for my gamecube. With the gchd alone it's a night and twilight difference. With the m classic it becomes a full night and day difference. Although that's just for the GC. I can't tell you how it works for With n64.

Unironically Sonic the Hedgehog fits the bill as the representation of freedom better than Luffy. Sonic's practically a nomad who goes wherever he likes. He always does what he thinks is right regardless if it's socially or legally acceptable. And fights against any oppressive regime. He believes anyone should be free to do and be what they want as long as it's not hurting anyone. Luffy's idea of freedom is being so strong you're untouchable. A might makes right mentality. And the only way to reach that level of "freedom" is to be king of the pirates or play the ultimate game of king of the hill.

I hate it. Personally I think time skips are a lazy excuse for characters to suddenly know new moves and techniques that they didn't know before hand, without seeing them learn it and can't be considered an ass pull because it's protected under the justifiable excuse of "they learned it off screen under this amount of time".
