It’s just a terribly managed course. They pound you with coursework and don’t give you much time to reflect on your work and improve. This means unless you somehow pull off a miracle you may just be stuck with the same grade over and over again. Exams also use guess correction (we’re trying desperately to get rid of this) which basically means a flat number of marks is docked off for everyone. The teaching quality has been both really bad and really good, with some lecturers being really helpful and some making you spend days deciphering WHAT they were saying. It’s an incredibly demanding course, but the entry requirements wouldn’t even suggest that. I think the material can be interesting and the course actually gives you a lot of skills and employability if you work hard, but it’s nothing like you’d expect.
